Compared to what it looked like when it was first reviewed, it looks somewhat different. It doesn't seem to be as detailed.

Regardless of that, I think I will buy it for the sake of bing a Trans fan

It is probably due to the poor quality of the photo. Other shots of the new figure and Toyfares review are way better shots of the finished product.

I hate when Hasbro does something like this just to make fans angry. First they wanted to put burn makrs all over him, then they wanted to make him all plastic, and now they castrate his smoke stacks . I think I'll be getting the Takara release; it comes with a trailor

 

Dang! I mindlessly didn't spot that @_@ I'm not worthy to have this item!! j/k.... well I did find the takara version, not sure if the trailer is included though... nor am I sure if the other weapons are included... If that's the case adding £15 for just a lengthened smoke stacks is sligtly questionable.

You should no buy now that the Japanese release of anything is always better than the US one. The Takara one has all the weapons (gun, megatron pistol, matrix, axe) and also comes with a cardboard trailor for decoration, die cast parts, no stupid 'battle-damage', and proper smokestacks

 

I must thank you for making me realise that ^_^... reverting my order to the takara version. I guess the added price is all worth it at the end of the day, epecially for a limited edition like this.

I just picked up Alternator Smoekscreen. Tis very cool, even the chairs and steering wheel of the car have a purpose in the transformation

 

My Optimus is delayed for two weeks already... and still counting. The seller didn't show up online for two weeks. I was tempted to throw the cake but then ...*1 new email*. Hopefully it'll be here before the new year as it's not going to be under the x'mas tree in time :\

On a side note Teen Samurai, can you fix your sig please. Make sure it's 300x125 and no animation. Seeing that I respect you being one of the TF fans in this forum and also a reasonable poster, I thought I needn't tear you apart with my modding powers.
