Accourding to Swedish media, UEFA has suggested with a new rule saying that a team must have 6 players on the field from the teams country. (I.e. Milan must have 6 italian players on the field because, well duh, it's an italian team).

    This is a way to stop teams to *cough*chelski*cough* buy *cough*chelski*cough* together *cough*chelski*cough* a *cough*chelski*cough* team. *cough*chelski*cough*

I think its an awesome idea! For example, it is an italian team so therefore it is logical that it would have at least half the team italian. Teams represent ones country and state. And if everybody is from a different country...then whats the point?

I admit that if rule is installed ( in mexico) it would definetly affect my team. I could name every player that we will lose.

Jose Cardozo - Paraguay ( but he is bound to Hirioshima )
    Vicente Sanchez - Uruaguay
    Paulo Da Silva- Paraguay
    Hernan Cristante - Argentina

And there are others... but no point in naming them since none of these people are well known ( except cardozo ).

Heh, yeah this would let more talented players to show themselves off on the squad. Considering that the Italian league has "deleted" the EU rule which consisted of only having a max number of non-eu players on the field. I think it was 3, but this lead into alot of Passport problems, I.e. Juan Verón of Argentina and Álvaro Recóba of Uruaguay.

They just ditched the rule because they were so fed up with the problems.

I know this is somewhat off topic but this just surprised me...

Can you believe that ecaudor beat brasil? I find that totally unexpecting.

But I didnt care much then since mexico played and won 8-0...again.

Well, the team's form can go up and down.

Hey, just look at Greece. Won the Euro 2004, not even sure if they can qualify for the next WC.
