  1. Hello to the group,

It's nice to know people have actally heard of Mr Tomita. Most people
I know just shrug and ask Who?

I think I got my first Tomita album in 1983, 84. Bermuda Triangle.
Still my favourite album, and apparently the only one I can't get on
CD in the UK. The little vocoder chant that leads into track 4 or
maybe 5 (difficult to tell on tape) sends a thrill down my spine.

I knew someone once who played Viola for Scottish ballet, and said
they had been sampled once for Tomita. Wether true or not he was much
    admired for a time.

No flames please. I know nought about music, but I adore Mr Tomita.

    Good luck to the group

    Del

  2. Hello Del,

Good to have you here! :)

The vocoder piece (called 'Vocoder'!) on Bermuda Triangle is actually at the
end of the whole album. Check out the website for a transcription of what's
    being said.

bulk of the work is done by John Breslin.)

  3. Thanks for the welcome,

    A nice group.

I meant the vocoderer like chant introducing track four ( the giant pyramid) Just a short little bitty of I think was vocoder, though may be wrong. Ididn't realise the end of Bermuda Triangle was vocoder stuff at all. All those organic sounding snuffly, wheezes. Sound a lot like sounds used in theDr Who theme. I've got an old tape of Bermuda Triangle perhaps it has beenupdated.
