Art newest work for an Anime competition, a local one

    I noticed the first version of my drawing (the penciled one) was either a LOVE IT or HATE IT design.
    so I asked people what did they hated and the ones who loved it I asked them also what they liked about it

    so I have here the original and the penciled one

    When you showed me the sketch a few days ago, my first reaction was a bit of a scared one, since she looked too angry and her face scrunched up. Then you showed me the cg today and I was very impressed and fell in love with her stubborn little pout on that cute face.. I love the background too.

    The sketch is awesome but I too thought the sketch's face looked a bit scrunched, like the mouth was too close to the eye. The cg looks awesome! It looks a lot better with the smaller mouth. I really like the landscape background aswell. Very cool, indeed.

    thanks XD yea I over did her face, but I wanted a strong expression, so I though "BIG details"
    but then.. I realized I could do much better with a cute frown or mouth so I did that instead

    Cool finishing pic. Itis kind of difficult to pull off viscious faces on a face without losing detail or making it seem a bit grotesque. The first one had a unique charm to it. The second one was definately more pleasing to the eye though. :)
