I'm sooooo happy Fushigi Yugi made it!!
I didn't vote because there was something wrong with my computer and wouldn't let me.
So what does everything else say?
I have to admit, I expected other anime to make it but there not even on the list.

 

on AA everyone was stunned. so many kiddie animes and so few children under ten voting. my idea was that maybe, just maybe they had played a joke. if the main subscriber to the mag. is somewhere between the ages of 16 and 30, then we're in trouble.

I really want to hear from fans in Japan.
The list would be more interesting to me.
Do you think that would a more intereasting list?

My friends and I agree with grunge_otaku.
These kinda list really do only reflect the opinion of a single person, or group.

Anyway......
:anger2: Chobits is not a top anime.
It's about a hentai freak that wants to F**k a computer.
Neon Genesis Evangelion is not better then Cowboy Bebop.
Inu Yasha is ok but It's not the 3rd best. The show has cut short
at 167 eps. I guess they got tried of it in Japan.
I feel that Fruits Basket was better then Inu Yasha.
Gundam Seed was a lot like all the other Gundams series out there.
So don't put Gundam (or any saga like it for that matter) on a list like this.
("Gundam was terribly overdone." I agree to the site that said that.)
The thing that I didn't like the most about the list has that it left out animes. One of the most creative and unique series, Gravitation,
didn't made it. I'm not saying that because it is my favorite.
It has an addictive story, love-able characters,and catchy music.
Another great series they left out was Kaleido Star.
what about Goldan Boy and any Ghibli works?
What are some other animes do you feel they left out?

Well, I don't think Cowboy Bebop should be listed so high. It was rather overrated, and I guess it's overhyped. But that's only my opinion.

Another question. Where's Saikano?

Oh, mad credits for Robotech for making it high on the list!

 

What the hell? Who the hell made up that list? ><* Inuyasha shouldn't be number 3... it should be like number 20 or somewhere around there. Dragonball Z should be replaced by Dragonball. And I think that Mobile Suit Gundam(the original) should be up there instead of Gundam SEED.

 

I think Cowboy Bebop definitely deserves to be placed so high. If it were left to me, I would rank it #1. If any anime is overrated, IMO, it's Neon Genesis Evangelion.

The Hellsing anime definitely shouldn't be on that list. Although the manga is exceptionally good, the anime is rather bad. Dragon Ball Z, Cardcaptor Sakura, Wolf's Rain, Full Metal Panic, Sailor Moon, Love Hina, InuYasha, Robotech, Ranma 1/2, Tenchi Muto, and yes, even Fushigi Yugi should not have been in this list.

What about all the movies? The only movies listed are Akira and Vision of Escaflowne. What about the Miyazaki masterpieces, and Satoshi Kon's movies? What about classics like Ninja Scroll, Blood: The Last Vampire, Vampire Hunter D, etc...

And I would've put .hack //sign and Serial Experiments Lain right up there in the top 10.

These lists are always flawed. Nobody accepts these lists. Ever. Give me the example of one rankings' list that's based on subjective opinion, in ANY area, that was accepted by the fans.

 

Clarifying on the animes I personally enjoy which are listed:

I agree Cowboy Bebop was overhyped... but the fact is that it was good... if not great! Deserves to be up there.

Gundam Seed... well I'm a strong defender of this series, so let's put it this way. It is really good as long as you havn't touched any Gundam Series before Gundam Wing, that way the series is fully likeable. If you have, then Seed won't appeal as it is seen as inferior and a rip-off. And it's probably true. Being an individual who fits the first description, I root for Seed... why? because it's "Gundam", trendy mecha designs with battles which to some extent are visually spectacular. I thought it was much more interesting than Wing (Wing being too political for my liking) and had increased numbers of fights. Mecha design some say are bland... but I find them original and more role-fitting. Colour and music are also very strong factors in Seed, they are both very good. To have Seed at #22 I'd say is quite fair.

NGE was good and I see it's influenece in the anime world since it took off, but I felt that it doesn't deserve 'as' much credit as people are giving it. Me thinks Rahxephon was a lot better.

Trigun was good and deserves it's position in the table

All in all, the rankings aren't harmfully misplaced

I disagree. Not just because of Fushigi Yugi.
I think Love Hina, InuYahsha, Ranma 1/2, should have been on the list.
And you have to admit, Dragon Ball Z, Cardcaptor Sakura, and Sailor Moon were/are very popular with kids and even some older people.

I do agree with .hack//sign though. It should be on there.

the list is okay. some of the anime up there deserve to be there. i just think the order is scewed up.

 

i love cowboy bebop....hate inyuasha.... chobits is a bit weird....but it was original....somewhat. i dont think it matters anyway. the list is by new type...who the f*ck reads newtype?

 

Doesnt matter who votes, or who selects the anime to be in the top 25, top 100, or top 10, it's all based on opinion. There can be no such thing as a number 1 anime.
So When someone tells me about an anime being number one, I try to ignore them. I wont even list my fav anime cuz I think its annoying.

Clarification: I love analyzing things. Being critical is not a bad thing, as long as you don't personally attack people. I guess my excellence level bar is tad high.
