Neon Genesis Evangelion nge on toonami!, nge nge NGE!!!

NGE is going 2 b on CN!i cant belive it! :anime: i mean sure they totally pissed me off when they did what they did to inuyashaanger2: ),but i know NGE too,and all is forgiven! :anime: :catgirl:

 

Well... I hate to burst your bubble.. but from what I heard, it's only going to be the first few episodes... if not just the first...

Unless there's been a different announcement now... Anyhow... I didn't care at all for the dub of it, and the edit will just tick me off anyway, so I'll just stick to the Sub.

This is actually one of the only animes where I prefer the dub Saw it first, and I just think the English version has more passion, somehow.

 

I think is weird that there putting NGE on Toonami cuz it talks about stronger issues and knowing that is a children channel (they even put Inu-yasha on Adult Swim) i don't think there gonna put they whole series or if they are, they're probably gonna cut alot of part of it

 

My friend who gets CN told me about it. We've watched all the uncut subbed episodes and they cut A LOT.

First ep:

-anytime someone said "damn" it was cut out

-the photo of Misato that Shinji had was missing the arrow that was pointing to her cleavage saying "Look here!"

-After Shinji picked up Rei, the scene of him looking at his hand covered in blood was cut

Second ep:

-again, "damn" was removed from all the dialog

-Unit 01's gushing eye injury was cut out (In the scene after you can still see the blood all over the building behind it)

-Sachiel's bleeding blue blood was cut short

-Misato drunk in the apartment was cut

-Misato's pet penguin Pen Pen, was cut from the episode (It involved Shinji running into him on his way to the bath)

-the infamous "toothpick" joke was cut

-a digitally added bathing suit on Misato in the bath

-and finally, the silouette of Rei during the credits was cut, along with the vocals to the ending theme "Fly Me To The Moon"

Even though I don't get Cartoon Network, I hope they don't show it indefinately. They're ruining it's reputation.

 

Dont worry,it ended at episode 2.They were only going to show 2 episodes.

 

Well it's a bit better than what someone said in another forum "They may well be showing 25 mins of adverts"

& at this rate, ppl in britain are gonna think that japenese ppl take baths with batheing suits (If it werent for the Sci-fi channel i woulda probably thought so too :S

 

That's wierd, coz in Australia we get NGE and from what i can tell it's uncut except for certain japanese symbols. But usually they just subtitle it. And ALL of that stuff that was mentioned was left in, but maybe that's coz we get it on Adult Swim.

They also changed Misato's beer can's colour to blue in the 2nd episode, and they vut out the scene where Misato was talking about it tasting good (or it was along the lines of that...) And when they cut stuff too it was very noticable because the background music changed.

I hope they show it on Adult Swim, I had trouble putting up with it >_<x The same with Nadesico, they can't even say "RETTSU GEKIGA-IN" right
