    This debate over the players wage issue has been gone for a long time, and it's "finally" come to an end.

    Yes. NHL has decided to cancel the season. It's sad to see talks not going anywhere even when the NHLPA have somewhat agreed with a salary cap on $49 million, but the owners demanded $42,5 million.

    Commissioner of the NHL, Gary Bettman declared today:

    Well, looks likes the winter olympics in Turin will have a shortage of NHL players and the carriers of Mario Lemieux, Dominik Hasek and Mark Messier might have come to the end.
