Neon Genesis Evangelion No. of Episodes ?

Just some quick questions.

I recently aquired 26 episodes of NGE (I think its 26)

Just wondering is this the right ammount?

I also want to know about spin off movies or the ending movies.

Just give me a quick run down of how many I should have to have the full series and story.

Yep 26 episodes. The two movies;

Death & Rebirth

End of evangelion (unless you want to see a clip show that explains the series in a particular order, dont buy D&R... Rebirth is at the start of EoE)

& spin off movies well there is a NGE hentai episode that is floating about KaZaA... some fan got REALLY bored

 

So If I have the 26 episodes, I should just get End of Evangelion Right ?

I recommend getting both Death and Rebirth and End of Eva. Why? Because Death is actually done rather nicely. They rearranged all these clips form the series in sequence so it'sa at one time all about Shinji, then Misato, then Asuka, then Rei and etc. Some of the english Vocie actors had to be replacd for they mysteriously disappeared. =P Kaworu's original VA was unable to be contacted so Kaji's VA filled in and did a marvelous, MARVELOUS job! I totally enjoyed heraing Kaworu with him doing his voice. And the ending credits were actually really nice... Plus the aduio comemntary for Death is much more funnier than in EoE.

Ok, heres an update on my situation. I found (and bought!) Death and Rebirth (a 2 disc DVD set) but was unable to get End of Evangelion.

So now Im gonna have to look hard EOE on DVD or get it on DIVX or something.


Another kick in the teeth, Episodes 25 + 26 are corrupted so Im gonna have to get another copy of them.

Of course if someone would like to help me out with a copy of them I would be very thankful.

 

Did ya watch the audio commentary of D&R yet? Or did ya try to watch it and got tired of Amanda's usless babble? XD
You actually learn a honkin' lot from the commentary. Talieson's great on info.

 

Here's a tip: When you get EoE, don't EVER get the Chinese Subbed ones... it drove me CRAZY!
First they show a commercial in Chinese. Then teh same one in English. Then the same one in Japanese. Then the same one in French. They do this with every freakin' scene, too. It was painful and annoying, specially since I had to yell over the chinese people every two minutes and explain what was happening to my clueless friend who decided to watch.

 

I only watched a bit of the Death Section, cause I havent seen all the Episodes (25 + 26 are corrupted)

Amanda is the voice of Rei? All the Episodes I had were Subtitled.
