heh noise is fine to deal with so long as it's the noise of my athelon NOT bursting into flames, i'm fine with it. *^-^*
everytime i think of that, largo burning that computer store via overclocking keeps coming to mind lol

If it can be as silent as a mouse, then I'm all for it. Then again, if it's louder, then I don't really mind. As least, then I'd know when the fan turns on. ^_^

Other than that, if I could afford it, silent is the way to go. So, then, the computer being on won't keep me up at night.

I need silence really. I'm a night person, and i usually stay up late...REALLY LATE :D. And the only problem is that my fan is "rather" loud and i need to hear my parents foot steps to know if they are awake or not, so that i won't get busted
But still, silenced Fan costs so much :(...

Well, since I have a labtop, its not noisy, and its an not bad cooling since it has a fan, I keep this guy open a longer time than I thought! :D

But sometimes I can feel the heat where the battery is..

*wonders if she should try removing the battery while keeping it on AC power oO*

I love my laptop, I'd cry of something happend to it!!

P.S. I need someone to reply at what I was wondering about ^^; btw, its DELL inspiron|2650 if it helps :p

Well, I have an Inspiron 4100 and I find that it's not actually the battery that gets TOO hot...it's actually where the motherboard and RAM sits. That's where all the major heat comes from...other than the little opening that shoots out all the hot air...

In fact, my battery's not hot at ALL right now...how odd fer ye, zan-chu.

just make sure you have it on a good surface that can difusse the heat, zanzachu. our laptop currently has a tiny crack on the bottom, at the really hot area. it gets really hot when you have it on for about 8 hours straight.

Dude, I couldn't have said it better myself. This is the EXACT same thing I have to deal with. My mom could care less, but if my dad hears me up, he starts yelling to "go to sleep" until I quite down and dim the screen. The all the commotion stops and I go back to what I was doing.

My fan is pretty loud. It just kicks on and off every now and then and sounds something like a prop plane taking off. It does the job tho, so i'm not fussy about it.
