Normal is whatever our minds process it as, there are so many varations of "normal" situations that it's impossible to come up with a universal definition. For instance, a broadway star in New York would think it perfectly "normal" to spend a thousand dollars on a dress for a banquet, while a homeless family weakening from starvation would find that outlandish and an inappropriate use of cash. Whatever is "normal" to you depends on your enviornment: what area you live in, your financial status, your social status, your brains, everything about you that creates a single, unique individual that has a totally different perspective on "normal" then the kid down the block with cancer.

"Normal" is very relative. In what concerns thought processes and habits of humankind, I don't think there is real a "normal" way to be, think, or feel. It depends on basically what Kagome's Arrow mentioned.

If it's natural processes we're talking about, such as things that can be determined by, say, blood tests, there has to be a "normal". Otherwise, how would you know whether or not you're sick? (That was mostly unrelated to what you mean, but this is the only thing I believe can really be normal. This sort of thing. Natural processes. Things governed by scientific laws. Human thought is boundless, and the inner self knows only the limits placed upon it by itself, so normal becomes very relative and subject to change. In other words... you're normal when you're being you. ...mental disorders, though, can make that kind of "normal" iffy. So. Yes. Iffiness. Exceptions. They happen a lot, and challenge what "normal" is. I'm blabbering now. XD)

Normal is usually the generally accepted idea of a society of that should be, over what is unusual. The properties of 'normal' is commonly set by a majority, not an individual, and an individual that goes against said properties of 'normal' is usually deemed as 'not normal'. There is a 'normal' to everything, more or less, except the topics of the unknown. And yes, 'normal' is usually the thing that is most common amongst the society.

In a way i agree with Kagome's Arrow. I see normal as how somebody lives their life, and how they would act in casual situations, that is what i beleve brings out normal. It shows how a person will act and it is a refelection on who they are and to an extent how they were brought up. If somebody started acting in a way that was not normal to them then i would say "that" is not normal.
