Of Felines and Laser Beams

Can anyone tell me what's up with Cats and laser pointers? Talk about funny, I bought one from Office Depot yesterday and I almost died laughing when I got home. This thing works better than any leash. The cat will follow it like it's soaked in Catnip. I found out that if I make her chase it around in a circle she'll get so disoriented she'll slam herself into a wall when I flick the laser away. What's better is that she gets paranoid. After I put it away for the night she continues to chase her tail, almost like she's just waiting to catch it in the act once again.

Oh but what is funny is that my grandma's cat knows that the laser pointer = chase the dot on the floor time. My grandma has to hide it, other wise Daisy will kittynap it and hide it under a rug....
