OGM is a Ogg Media Streams format. It's a file format that's started to become more popular in recent times because it can package multiple audio streams and subtitling.

To get playback working, you actually will end up needing a little more than a few things. This guide covers it quick and straightforward:

now i can open the files, but still cant see the videos T_T, just a stupid green screen with moving pixels T_T.

    what could it be?

ive tried three media players, wmp, zoom and divx player, all of them show the same green screen T_T

Hrm. Do you have nimo codec installed? Nimo Codec have a tendency to ruin other codecs, such as XviD.

Is there a way not to make Windows Explorer freeze at the site of .ogm files? No matter what situation I'm in, I can't rename or move or whatever ogm files because windows explorer always freezes or explorer.exe is reset. It's really annoying.

Try adjusting your explorer view options so that "View as Web Page" or "Thumbnails" style is disabled. My best guess is that your machine is trying to preview the ogm file and failing hard on it for some reason.

    Edit:

Alternatively, go old school and do your file operations from the Command prompt.
