Where are you getting this feminine notion. None of the titles you just listed are ones I would classify as feminine (well, except that Fruits Basket on the end).

Slayers, while it features a female lead, has quite a lot of action and events that don't curve towards either gender. Actually, it seems more tilted in the guy target. For instance, Naga. Case closed.

.hack is a little light, but it is still action/intrigue and doesn't seem like most "chick flicks", where nothing happens and it's all talking and coffee shops. :p

Tenchi. Hmm, maybe I'm reading you backwards - did you mean you watch shows for guys? Here we have one guy who's being hounded by girls. Definately trying to play out some guy fantasy.

FLCL. Whoa, there were many sexual oriented scenes and setups here.

Fruits Basket - lightly done all around. The guys look almost like girls, the story is very tame. Yeah, I think this one may have been targeted more for girls...

But Come on! Slayers, Tenchi, and FLCL? I think they're at least middleground material.

And if they were feminine what the hell is wrong with that.

Don't worry, they're not all feminine. Only Fruits Basket seems feminine to me. FLCL is no way feminine!

Does it really matter? A few of the good ones that I *have* watched are more shoujo than shounen.

Fruits Basket being among the top. Also, in Japan, it actually has one of the highest ratings of ANY kind of show in history. 4 out of 5 people watched it when it was on the air...and 75% of Japan IS NOT female...despite how anime portrays that. ^___^

What I saw of the Shoujo Kakutei Utena movie was great too, and it has a lesbian scene in it.

Azumanga Daioh is one of my FAVORITE comedies.

Good Morning Call manga was good...

For me...as long as it's GOOD...I'll watch it. And it's the same for most everybody here. Don't let the fact that it's more "feminine" deter you from watching any great series.

Who cares? Most animes have always got really pretty and sexy characters in them so i guess i have a soft spot for them myself but thats nothing to get worrird about. Then again i haven't really seen some of those animes so maybe my comments don't count......no they count. lol.

I just you can say Noir was feminine, having the entire anime played by female main characters. But I liked it nonetheless... As long as one likes it I don't see why one should feel embarrassed by it.

There's something called 'feminine' anime? Hmm... never thought of that. I'll watch almost anything, as long as it is *not* boring or overloaded with too many 'normal' (standard issue?) anime males (because I am a guy, don't blame me for being attracted to females!)

Anime/Manga often mixes masculine (wars, fighting, big guns) with feminine (romance, 'heart-rendering' music).
