Maybe he means if Kenshin's saying oro is good or bad? I think it's cool when Kenshin says oro!

Yup, "oro" translates to "huh?" or of any type of shocked questioning. I've heard it in other anime's rather than Kenshin as well...

They took it out when he gets bashed by someone or in a comical "pain" scene. Instead of saying "ite-te-te-te", Kenshin says "Ororororororo". I don't remember if it gets taken over or translated as something else when he gets in between Megumi and Kaoru though.

yeah but he says it in other cercumstances like when Kaoru Attacks him in the first episode or when he comes back from visiting Tomoe at her grave in Kyoto...so it guess its not just for pain ^^x;; but for kinda hmmmmmm its hard to explain...

It's pretty much when he's confused, hurt (in a comical sense), in between Megumi and Kaoru (like the party they had early in the series), in any comedic situation, and just as a saying for: "what?", "huh?", or any other one syllable questioning statement. ^_^

I take moaning "ORO" is more funnier when rocketeering through the skyline after a whack with a kendo"sword" than screaming "AAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhh...."

If they did keep the oro in the English version people would probably wonder what the heck he is trying to say, whereas in Japan they would no for sure what the meaning of the word is. I wonder what he says in the Spanish version because doesn't oro mean gold in Spanish? And Kenshin is an idealist so he wouldn't go around yelling "gold!"

I don't see why he would be yelling "Gooold" either, to be honest...
    lol
Perhaps they should have made something like "Oooooy" or "Oyeh?" for Kenshin in the dubs...
nah, i'm just being weird, time for me to hit the sack!

This is a pretty classic question. "Oro" is not really pain. Those of you who know Japanese, it's just like the suffix --yo. In japanese, they basically speak thier punctuation. "yo" is an exclamation point. "Oro" just means "exclaim", I guess. Liek a cat's purr. It dosent really mean happiness. Didja know cats purr when they die? Dunno where that came from, just thought you'd like to know!

Oh boy, comparing Kenshin and cats! Kenshin the Kitty!!
