Manga 'outside' Manga artists???

Hey, I know many of us here wants to become manga artists, am I correct? But... can we? May we? Is it possible for non-Japanese people to draw mangas and publish them? Is it legal? Is it possible for mangas to be published first in English?? And I MEAN manga, not comics and cartoons; I mean Japanese animation styles!

Why not Sachiko? IT's a free country hehe ... Ofcourse you can create Manga... ^_^ you can publish them too... I mean there are some "how to draw manga" books like "Manga Mania" that belong to an non-japanese author...

Yes, There is a Japanese artist called Tomoko.. er can't remember her name hehe :sweat: who wrote her manga in English.. Language doesn't matter What matter's is the artistic style, ne?

Selling these is:
Original Manga: one with your original character and story legal
Doujinshi: "fan comics" manga that contains characters from other anime, games, manga that belong to other artist than yourself
they are ILLEGAL if you don't give credit to the orginal artist or company that created those characters
otherwise they would be legal

Hey you could try to join an online manga group and write or draw for them and see how it goes form there or you could make your own web manga. As for me I can write damn good but I'm worinkg on the drawing thing which by the way I totally seem to suck at. So good luck hope you reach that dream.

Why don't you start your own mana ring here at m2a. We could look down our noses at all the other anime boards 'n sfuff, and go like "heh, j00 s(_))((_)r, j00 f00lz." Or something.
