    Painting for a wedding present Finished!!!

    I've been working on an acrylic painting as a wedding present because..(I'm broke) I usually don't like working with acrylic paint because even though I can add water to it, its still a very dry medium, not as fluid as watercolour or oils. My lazy arse is still working on this piece, so tell me what you think of it so far ^__^

    this is a digi pic. so you can see I have no talent for picture taking. the lovebirds have a new home with bare walls of butter and olive paint...

    O_O you're such a good painter. How long have you been painting anyway Sera? Oh, and nothing wrong with using a very handy talent to paint something perdy when ya have no moneh. :D Anywho, good job, especially using a medium you don't normally like to use.

    haha.. thats my talent for picture taking. well.. as far as finishing, I have several more layers to go before I'll be happy with it. at least the violet lisianthus are almost done..

    and thanx k0gepan :) umm I first tried acrylic paint out 5 years ago, yet it was rare to paint with it. this one here is my first in 3.5 years. I have been painting with watercolours since high school.

    Wow, only five years? Your really good! ^_^ That's really beautiful, I'm sure whoever's wedding it will love it more than teh usual wedding gifts. (Glass things...)

    WOW! That's beautiful. And as a person who's tried my hand at painting with acrylics I can say that it's hard as hell. You must have had art class in school...maybe not. Raw talent. Question though. If you like whatever color so much why didn't you do a watercolor painting. Or maybe that's not as sturdy. What do I mean?:dizzy2:

    lol. I'm broke. so I can't pay for it to be matted and framed. so I'll just give it as a stretched canvas. I think I should have gotten a gallery canvas (the wood is thicker along the edges) but it still looks okay. last time I gave a watercolour as a present, it cost me 80.50CDN to get it professionally framed.

    I took art in University, but those teachers didnt teach any technique. just 'for this project use acrylic..' like thanx..

    If you were famous, that picture would make you a fortune. One of the best art pieces I've seen at M2A to say the least. You go girl!

    okay all, heres an update

    thanks you guys. lol..I hope Anita and Brian like the painting. ^__^ I just hope I can sell artwork when I am alive though.. haha

    here's the latest update...

    thank you for all your comments ^__^I'm almost done!

    lol. I'll find some 115 year old guy paint under his name..but the money would go to his family.. unless I was the beneficiary. but then I'd never be able to paint again.. unless he were related and it was inherited talent..lol. too much thinking.

    all I need to do now is finish off some of the pink flowers and spray it. hope it isnt sticky. I have to wrap it up.
