This is a very short OVA (1 ep , 23 minutes long) that I recommend y'all to watch.

It's just a very beautiful, subtle and tranquil piece of work from an independant company.(Studio Rikka)

I was introduced to this anime ...from pretty good AMV. Be sure to check it out as well.

I'm surprised that you didn't get a reply to this -

Yes, Pale Cocoon is a very enjoyable (if short) OVA. They manage to pack a lot into those 20(?) minutes! It's a 'discovery' piece, as you find out about the world the characters are living in as they do themselves. Not to spoiler it, but the end sequence is very well done - even if I did get a little confused by the falling-direction* at the end. It's surprising that they manage to pack so much tension into a piece that's mainly talking, and computer use (please don't let this dissuade you!). Some nice touches (if a bit geeky) are the world-structure and the OS on the main character's computer. An unusual-enough take on the near-future.

It's very pretty - the art-style and CGI integration fit very well together (especially the future-greens). There's some very nice looking ray-tracing in there as well - this is a good one for you mkv/h264/HD buffs. Good soundtrack too.

Oh, and it's usually packaged with a .nfo which explains the story in case you didn't understand what happened at the end. Don't read it! ... well, you can if you've watched it through twice and are still head-scratching. Oh, and don't look up too many reviews of this if you don't want the story ruined either

Oh, and there's a very well-done AMV with this as the source (that's how I came across it) - it's highly recommended as well!
EDIT: Ah - I see the OP mentioned that already. Good stuff!

    In brief: Get this now!

*Ambiguous spoilers are great, aren't they?
