I suppose I'd have to agree with you, That is a good point, however i still believe that peoples attitudes towards that violence has fluctuated over the past couple of thousand years (well that goes without saying, over that period of time attitudes towards everything have changed)

Revolutions happen, wars happen, violence is the defining centre of human history (I cant remember where this quote came from but "why do we see history through conflict and not peace, Its always The hundred year war or The great war, never the great peace")

What i believe to be in question however is how do the people see this violence, Take it back 50 years, At the start of World War One the people expected a short encounter which wouldnt really be all that serious, Nowadays we see war as a crime against the fundamentals of our civilisation. But we see other forms of violence everywhere we turn but we accept it becuase our views have been twisted.

This post is already too long and i havnt really answered your question, well not directly anyway (what can i say its early morning again and still no coffee for this little monkey) But i hope you can see the point i was trying to get to, and dont bother telling me any of the contradictions in this post i'm already aware of most of them but i'm just too lazy to change it.

And eyewitnesses say that steve went crazy for no reason and the claim that mary (steves wife) was trying to kill him with a butchers knife was a lie
Latest reports say that steve is going to plead insanity (big suprise there)

First off, the jury is going to be dead-locked and, besides, all of the prosecution's witnesses were bribed so once that comes out, there's going to be a mistrial and Steve is going free. So ha.

    On a more serious note...

What's in QUESTION is who is to BLAME for this violence of which you tried to blame society but put most of the burden upon the shoulders of modern media saying that it is the cause.

And if we truly accepted any of this violence, in which you are claiming, then murder and man-slaughter and homicide wouldn't be crimes, bub.

The fact of the matter is, parents are just looking for something to pin this all on and think that the media is the most liable of such for some idiotic reason when they don't even realize that existence itself was founded with violence and it has been present for whoever-knows-how-long.

It's always been here, and it's never going away.

Who bribed the witnesses it makes no sense, Somtimes i think you're just making this up, besides the insurance on his wife came through. Free and rich steve is one lucky murdrous B*st*rd

Luckily it is now 8:30 and i have had no need for coffee so i can see clearly now,

    To Blame : Human nature
Media makes it easier to swallow

Punishment is getting more lax, This shows that we're coming to accept violence more and more.

Parents are trying to shift the blame but i never said they were innocent in this (just blind)
