Anime on Friday, 15-Nov-2002 (Dublin)



We're showing anime on Friday, the 15th of November in Trinity college.
We're showing:
- Jin-Roh at 5pm
- Nausicaa at 7pm
- (maybe some thundercats (??) )
They're both excellent movies, so you should attend

The price will probably be of €1, if you are not a member of DUCSS yet.

BTW, there's an all-night LAN in the Yeah! cybercafe going from 10pm to 8am... There'll be a few of us going, and the price for non-students is something like €10-15 for the night.
You have to book a place for it before friday though.

Tell me if you want to go, and I'll tell the guy who's organizing it, so that he books a place for all of us.

Well, last time Mordeth, Kuroi Kenshin and me went to it. I think Mordeth wants to bring some of his dodgy friends to it this time.

aye, I'm bringing 3 lads to the gaming.. i'm not going to bring them to the anime for fear they'd talk the whole way through and ruin it for everyone else

also, they would likely mention "cartoon porn" and make me hit them over the head with a chair

 

Kenshin, seeing as though I can 'stay the night' in the cyber cafe I might be able to go this week. Can you tell me where the Yeah! cafe is and how do I go about booking? Is the event on Friday under a certain name?

Wait, I think I've found them on-line. Dawson Street right? They spell 'yeah' 'Ye@h' (very clever *rolls his eyes*). I think I remember seeing it once, black shopfront I think.

Kenshin, I was wondering if everyone who is going to the LAN thing will be playing each other or against another group on the internet. I ask because the late time suggests playing Americans. I may be mistaken though.

Do the games really go on all night? Can the human mind stick 10 hours of gaming even given breaks?

I would like to go but I think I might have to pass it up this time again (both the anime viewing and the LAN). Friday is just a really crap day for me and I have logistical issues (i.e. I get of at 12 on a Friday and so would have to stick around Dublin for 5 hours with nothing to do lugging my washing around with me with nowhere to stay at the end of the night).

If I organised a weekday anime showing, would anyone come to that?

 

you could always go to a library or something for a few hours or catch a film, or whatever

and who you play is your own choice, most people play on the lan itself, that is they play the others in the cafe, but if you want you can connect to other servers *shrug* it's no biggie.

and you won't need anywhere to stay if you're at an all night lan party

 

I'll be there most likely. A friend of mine might want to come too. This time I should try to remember to give Patabor to Kenshin.
And Mord, if you have that stuff done by then, feel free to bring it.
