Eirtaku Past Event: Anime on Friday!! (Dublin)

    Anime on Friday!! (Dublin)

    We're showing anime and possibly a live action movie on friday, 6th of December, from 5-9 pm in Trinity College Dublin.
    Not sure yet what we'll be showing... I'll update this post when I know more...
    It looks like we'll only be able to watch a R2 DVD, so our choices might be a bit more limited than before.
    Any suggestions are welcome :)

    Damn, they dont want to give me the remote for the R2 DVD player that's there, so we cant select subtitles, etc.
    I'll have to findo someone with a laptop now, or maybe play something in divx :/

    FLCL is a cool series, but I think it might be too much for a casual anime-watcher. Maybe we could sow it next term though.
    Anyway, I think we're goig to be showing Mononoke Hime and the Kenshin OVA... A friend is going to be lending me his laptop so that's that problem solved.

    Too much, my arse. Best to be thrown in at the deep end, like I was. Is Akira not the most commonly seen first anime?
    And even if they do start freaking out, we can laugh at them. I really think we should show it, if not friday, then some other time. Until then, Mononoke and Kenshin sounds good.

    Mononoke Hime(not fskin hyme) was cool, but I'd seen it before, Read or Die was ****ing hillarious I thought. Not a great turnout though, there was only around 10 of us there or something.
    As for next time...

    Yeah, it wasnt too well organized, we didnt really have time to advertise it...
    So I didnt really expect more people... I'll try to do it better next time though.
    Mordeth.. if we meet next week, maybe we can swap stuff then, I guess...
