This is a big incident that has happened, and the entire of sweden is angry at a player named Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

    The Reason?

Sweden was leading 4-0 over San Marino (Europes Worst Soccer National Team).

In 83rd minute, Zlatan got tripped in the penalty area and he took the pentaly himself. Hence: The Coaches has made a 1-2-3 Penalty kicker system:

    First Penalty taker:

Kim Källström (Who already made a penalty goal)

    Second Penalty Taker:

    Anders Svensson

    Third Penalty Taker:

    Andreas Jacobsson

As told, Zlatan Got tripped, and he took the ball himself and scored from the Penalty. But the teammates turned their backs on him. The teammates later replied that it wasn't such a big deal out of it, because they were all tired to run up the field and congratulate him, and Kim later said that he said told Zlatan at the penalty area that it was cool for Zlatan to take it.

But why do other Swedish Coaches, Journalists and Pro players like Freddie Ljungberg critcize him?

I mean COME ON?! Zlatan was hot throughout the game, created at least 6 chances, passed to 3 goals and scored one himself. Why would you criticze him for a little incident like this?! This is just ridicolious. If a nation like Italy or Norway, had the same incident, why make such a big deal outta it? I mean, we were leading with 4-0, and later on the entire nation hates one guy?

I respond to the critics that hate Zlatan:

" No Zlatan, No Success "

I don't quite get you. Do you mean his teammates are mad at him simply because he's not suppose to be the one to strike from the spot? If so, that's ludicrous, surely it doesn't matter who takes it as long as it ends up in the back of the net.

Don't get me wrong but Zlatan Ibrahimovic plays for Ajax?

    Yes, He plays for Ajax.

His teammates didn't care, it's the coaches and the press's fault, critcizing him for one little thing...

Well you know the media, they can expand and exaggerate minor matters. But even so, this really holds little reason to why he should be hated. He is a good player, I've seen him before.

I should probably move this thread, but I'm not mean enough to dump this thread into Misc on you, Teddz. I'll let it stay here ^_^

Wow. Why would it matter to anyone who took the penalty shot? He made it, the players didn't care, why should the coaches and the press?

Although, I guess I could see where San Marino was upset... maybe...

I've never seen world soccer before, so I don't know if the stakes are higher or what, but it seems to me that no one should have a problem with it.

In my opinion, I don't really care....because they were already winning so one penalty kick wouldnt make a difference.

But think about it....This dude just messed up the penalty system. And he underminded authority for his own greedy needs. He wanted a goal so he decided to take one even though there was penalty system. This kind of stuff kinda shows how much respect he has for the coach. Which is why it was heavily critized.

i agree with vicious. he did something stupid. i wouldn't have been surprised if he got into alot more trouble. coaches at the international level have their heads on the chopping block pretty much every game. what if he hadn't of scored?

I mean if Zlatan did not take the penalty shot, he probably would be scrutinized for not taking care of his buisness and being a bloody sissy. Zlatan might be a little conceited but i think he had a bit of anger he just wanted to force onto San Marino's little asses and hurt them. thats what i would do.

I dont think he would have been called a sissy. I mean think about it....say if the defender got tripped in the penalty area. And lets say he is a bad accuracy shooter. I wouldnt want him taking the shot....even though i would thank him for drawing a foul.

There is a reason why they have a penalty system. The first three people...or five(penalty shoot out) have the best chance of making the shot.

I see people getting tripped in the area all the time but the person that got tripped doesnt shoot the ball...
