are 25 & 26 re-done?

 

It's all 26 episodes, the movies aren't being released by ADV, they're being handled by Manga entertainment. Sorry, no chance of that box set ever happening legitimately in Region 1.

The Movies will be released this Summer from what I understand.

hey guys, I think that that is pretty expensive if u ask me....

 

Whoa, it's beautiful

This is annoying. Because just under a year ago I spent nearly £200 pounds acquiring this, my favourite series of all time, on DVD. I live in England and so anime on DVD is especially hard to acquire, let alone the extreme irritation on region encoding (thank god I have 2 multiregions in my house). Now I find the series I spent so much on is about half the price and comes with a bonus for anyone who didn't think it was worth their hard-earned cash yet. There must be some sort of a way I can get hold of one of these beautiful things without forking out another £100!!!! I will contact ADV about it, the devils.
I also have ominous feelings about the forthcoming end of eva and death and rebirth, due from Manga. If the dubbing team is different, which it probably will be, it will totally spoill the anime for me. The series dubbing was one of the best anime dubs ever, with the translation in many ways superior to the subtitles. Does anyone know if the dubbing crew are going to be different? I wouldn't have neccessarily thought the original dubbing crew are in-house ADV, so it must be possible to hire the originals. Surely Manga must realise they'll sell more copies if the Movies are more faithful to the series in sound as well as vision.

I am happy to report that I have found you are indeed able to acquire the box separately. I have just secured myself one of those yummy Ltd. Ed. Metal Boxes, for my collection, though I think that the corrected sleeves should come free with the individual box as well as the one with the remastered DVD 1.
