    Pinball of the Dead (Sega/THQ)

Seeing this game in the window of the local Video Game Shoppe, and being a veteran of Houses of the Dead 1 & 2, I smacked a 10 on the counter and said "Pinball Please!" I got home and immediately popped it into my GBA, anxious to view my new purchase. I must say, it is bloody brilliant. There are three tables, six bosses, and endless zombies whom you can chase and squish with the little metal ball. To get to the bosses (The bosses from House 2, no less!), including Judgement and Heirophant, you must complete certain tasks, which usually involve getting to an area of the board and squishing loads of zombies.

The boards (3 of them, entitled Wandering, Movement, and Cemetery) feel and look like places from the Houses of the dead. Wandering is the Mansion, Movement is the lab, and Cemetery is a...um...cemetery. The boss "rooms," if you will, are essentially the same...domes with two fliipers, a sink hole, and an exit hole.

    Graphics -- For a GBA game, they're DAMNED good! 4.5 / 5

Sound -- Squishy sounds, understandable voice clips, and eerily compelling music combine for an audical (is that a word?) utopia. 5/5

Gameplay -- Yep, its pinball. 5/5

    Replay -- Secrets abound! And...its pinball! 4/5
