    I may asked a stuped question but what can I do??

    what is better the higher ping or the lower??


    EX: 360 or 70

    online pings

    When i play online games like yuri's revenge and others.

    i got a low ping sign and i'm having high speed internet?

    ping is the time the info takes to get from your PC to the game server

    the effect produce is what we know as "LAG"
    lag = evil

    the lower the ping the better
    a gfood 56K connection hovers around the 200ish
    for 100 or lower you anything higher than DSL

    Your ping is affected by a number of factors. Your internet connection is certainly one of them, but the distance from your computer to the server you are playing on, as well as the route that ends up being taken there will decide things as well.

    For example, I play on American Servers, and I sit on the East Coast of Canada. Anything east coast tends to net me under a 50 ping. Move mid to west coast and it's around 100+. Cross the ocean to a European server and I'm closer to 200 sometimes.

    Until the world is completely fibre optic, pings are something online gamers will have to contend with. :)

    if my connection has firewall will the ping be reduced or will get more?

    can it be from the network wire that i'm using it?or from the network card?

    Nope. Everything depends on your Internet connection. Best way to have lower pings is to play on European servers, expecielly Swedish ones since we have high capacity broadband, and to close all your other internet application so that all the Internet speed aims directly to the game.

    If i was using Router so the internet connection will be shared on 4 computers right?(<256KB>)
    so can i close the 3 computers and open 1 computer and let all the speed comes to this computer???
