Really, who else here feels sorry for the 'bad' guys?
Whole series and movies go on without even a thought to how they feel, or what they think,
they usually have their reasons for being evil, nothing a meeting with a phycological councellor wouldn't cure sometimes.
    whattdya think?
*hides from all the people who are probably gonna flame this tread like a candle*

i think maybe they should focus on some of the villians a bit more. Some shows would be ruined by "understanding" them though so it wouldn't work in all animes.
I do feel sorry for a lot of them.

    yeah....
anime is more serious than western style cartoons where all the villans wanna do is "take over the world".
in anime, like u said, they usually have a better reason.
usually it is a grudge against the hero, or maybe it is something in their past. usually, but, it is the heros fault that they are evil. usually the hero does something to them (most of the time without knowing) and causes them to be angry and stuff.
but, yeah, i usually feel sorry for them when they die, and they didnt really deserve to. yeah...

Some Villians have v. sad reasons 4 being that way, Lu Bread, (a villian from Steam Detectives,) for example, has got two months to live, so he just does what he wants.
And at the end, they imply that, "he may have died, or may not have died" That just drove me, Jackal and our friend (who I may somehow force to join the forum soon;) ) completly insane! :glazed:

Depending on WHO you're talking about, Villains can also deserve sympathy. I mean, Gaul from Full Metal Panic was just an insane sadist. He wanted as many people to suffer as possible, and that was his main drive.

Compare that to, say, Ryouga or Mousse from Ranma...and you can see the difference. Even though Ryouga is a jerk and all. ;) Sorry all you Ryouga fans. Actually, a better comparo would be Galatea from Bubblegum Crisis Tokyo 2040. She only sought to free her robotic bretheren from being used as unintelligent machines. Though...she did also want to cause worldwide destruction...so, I guess it's counter pointed.

Point is, it takes different kinds to make villains, and sometimes intentions are good, when they cause evil. :D

Edit: Another villain with a cause would be Celestin the Aa!! Megamisama! movie. He had very thought out reasons, just the way he went about trying to accomplish it was utterly wrong.

    I'm glad we agree, (mostly)
Even if they are just a complete nutcase they still should be huged and helped ^-^ especially LuBuride, *hugs*
Without them the stories just wouldn't happen, but they should be helped at the end of the series dontya think?
Some of them deserve to die tho' i guess.
Sometimes when bad guys turn good it's REALLY annoying too, like Ken from Digimon, being the only example I can think of right now, he was a cool villain, I gave up on the series when he turned nice :sweat2:
