you know all that "dicsussion' going on about who is insulting who and who's perceiving it wrong?

take it to pm's, or i'll delete every non-poem post in this thread and close it.
now, play nice. critisism is one thing, but if you think someone is going out of their way to hurt someone, you point it out to me and we'll take an objective look at it. (so much as i can, i mean, i hate poetry and all...but i still understand it...it just hurts me is all...-watches skin start to smoke- )

    I open my eyes
    By me

    I open my eyes
    You're all I see
    I open my ears
    Youre song is so sweet
    I breath
    Your kiss is so right

    I see you
    You're walking away
    I hear your song
    You're not singing for me
    I feel your kiss
    and cry as is ends

    I know you're leaving
    Soon you'll fade away
    As you're song ends
    I know I'll hear another
    I'm crying
and soon my tears will dry

    I open my eyes
    You're all I see
    I open my ears
    You're song is so sweet
    I breath
    You're kiss is so right

    Something New I Whipped Up

The Ten Lessons Of A Life In Humanity
By Matthew "The Mattykins" C. Hage

    Lesson number one;
Sarcasm and exaggeration will always find you
No matter how charismatic or cheerful you are
These will take hold of you, whether you want them to or not
But don't fear, this isn't a bad thing.
    Because in moderation...
These will be the two most useful tools to you in life
    Use them wisely
    Use them correctly
And most of all, I can't stress this enough
If you think you shouldn't use them,
    That's when you usually should.

    Lesson number two;
Friends are important. They always are
Never, ever underestimate the power of friends
But there is one group of people that are better than friends
    Those are your enemies
    Cherish your friends
    Love your enemies
It doesn't take anything to agree with someone
    To console them
But to belittle them, condescend them...
    That's priceless
That is when you truly know...
You have their complete and undivided attention
    What is said is true;
Keep your friends close, and your enemies closer

    Lesson number three;
    You can't escape religion
    It's there, it's every where
If you decide to be an Atheist
    Practice it, don't preach it
    Because you WILL be assaulted
    You WILL be attacked
    And you WILL be belittled
Though these words can't hurt you
    They are an annoyance
And they waste time that can be used doing something more valuable
    Just remember...
Don't trust someone that says aborting a fetus is wrong
But condemning a newborn child to Hell is not

    Lesson number four;
Sometimes, the pen truly is mightier than the sword
It doesn't take an intelligent person to kill
Even a child could do that
But it takes meticulous skill to manipulate
    And to voice your opinion
Some that are, truly, the most powerful people
    Were great speakers and writers
Even though people refuse to admit it
    Hitler, Charles Manson
    Voltaire, Dante Alighieri
Whether people like it or not
    These people are heroes
    And they are powerful
Because they are able to get people to listen
And they can grab someone's attention
    With no more than word-of-mouth
    That is true power

    Lesson number five;
Don't waste your time worrying about getting to the top
You rarely will, very few people ever do
That's why Bill Gates, Donald Trump, and Rockafeller are so well known
Make peace with yourself as early as you can in life
That way, when you're pumping gas in a run-down town
Or you're stocking shelves in the local K-Mart
Or you're wiping up someone's piss in a bathroom
You won't have to tell yourself how much life sucks
Because this is life, and you'll never escape it
You will never be free, and you will never be independent
There will always be someone to look down on you
And there will always be someone you have to look up to
    But fret, worry, and cry
Because these are what makes us human
Because when it gets to the point that you can't cry
That is when you know that something is truly wrong
And that, my friends, is truly the saddest thing in life
    When you can't cry

    Lesson number six;
    Don't listen to your parents
It's what makes you a kid when you're a kid
And it shows, when you grow up, that you really were a kid
Being a rebel is what being a kid is about
When you don't rebel when you're a child, at all
Is another point when you lose humanity
Drink, do drugs, and **** all you want
    But only if you want
Don't listen to your friends, either
Because they don't know what's good for you
Listen to yourself, that's all you should concern yourself with
Because your parents want to make you a mindless worker bee
And your friends want to make you a regular collar for the fuzz
Don't ever let anyone carve out the path for you
You're the one that holds the hammer and chisel
    Not them

    Lesson number seven;
    Darkness is not negativity
    Everything needs darkness
Because everything has a polar opposite
Where ever you find a light, you will find darkness
And where ever you find darkness, there will be a light
To try and erase light or darkness in it's entirety is an absurdity
Don't try to delve too deep into either faction
    Because that's when madness ensues
You will find that to live life appropriately
You'll have to sit on the fence between
    To make life complete
You need equal amounts of light and darkness
Don't worry, because you'll find, soon enough
That there is much, much room on that fence
Because no one can seem to grasp that fact
    And that is sad

    Lesson number eight;
    Read, every chance you get
Reading is something you should do
As often as you sleep and brush your teeth
If you brush your teeth that is... which you should
Because it's good to have nice teeth when you read
Don't worry yourself over what to read, just do it
Read an article from a newspaper or a magizine
    Something that catches your interest
Make your library card your most valuable asset
And never underestimate the power of Fiction
It will help you get through rough days, some times
Because nothing feels better than to dive into an imaginary world
And look behind the eyes of these interesting characters
But make sure, not to delve too deep into the rabbit hole
Because some times, you may never come back
    And yes, this is bad
    You lose touch with reality
Never... EVER... lose touch with reality
Hold reality in your right hand
    Hold fantasy in your left
    Unless you're left-handed, of course...
    Then switch that order

    Lesson number nine;
There is a big difference, but a thin line, between confidence and an ego
Stay as far away from this line as possible, on the side of confidence
If you're going to say you're capable of doing something
You'd best make damn sure that you can do it
Because you'll only make yourself look like an *** when you **** it up
Never be afraid to make mistakes
    Never be afraid to apologize
And never be afraid to admit that you can't do something
Because, I don't care who you are
There is always something you can't do
    Something you're not good at
It's a part of life, and it's a part of humanity
And for those who think you're not good at anything
    Bull****
Just remember, everything as a polar opposite
So when you find something you're not good at
    Cheer up
Because there's proof that there truly is something you're good at
Finding it is the hard part
But once you do, nothing will ever be able to beat you down from that high

    Lesson number ten;
Remember, this will probably be the most important lesson in life
Everyone has a burden, I don't care who you are
Everyone that lives and breathes and will die carries something
They carry this weight on their shoulders
And sometimes it makes them trudge around like walking through mud
And sometimes it's so featherlight, that when they lift it, they feel like they're on clouds
Though you are not special, and your burden is no different
Your burden is no heavier and no lighter than anyone else's
Being able to lift it is up to you
So don't say that someone has it easier
Or someone has it harder than you
Because it's not true, it simply isn't
Because those people are NOT you
And they are not fair game for comparison
And while you're busy whining about how bad life sucks
And how everyone else is better off than you
This burden is crushing your spine and weighing down your shoulders
And you're slowly sinking faster and faster into the mud
So, if I can offer you just one piece of advice
    This would be it:
    Get over yourself

It took me 10 minutes to write this poem. :anime:

    Lost and found

    Of all the things
    That i have lost,
    My heart is what
    I miss the most.

    Of all the things
    That I have found
    Theres nothing I
    Could use to bind
    My mind to something
    More profound than
    Falling autumn leaves

^^ Meep! This is my second poem, hope you all like. :sweat2:
The poem took me about....10 minutes. ^^ I think.....I wasn't really keeping track.

Oh, how easily was I caught,
    By your dreamy gaze.
    You injected me with poison,
As it lured me toward a daze.
You spun your web with utter perfection
While your eyes gleam with temptation.
I soar high toward your warm embrace,
Just by a simple murmur of your praise.
You spew your web of Death around my body
    Like a fly within a spider's property,
I struggled to escape from your thread.
But I only found myself stained in red.

    One final Stroke

    I love to paint,
    'Cause it releases Anger.
    But I have no brush.

    I love to paint,
    Cause it releases Hatred.
    But I have no paper.

    I love to paint,
    'Cause it releases Pain
    But I have no colour.

With the hidden keen brush I painted,
Upon the paper that I've provided.
And my acurb brush has never stinted,
Till the river of crimson is created.

And what gorgous scenery I've perfected
Lights of iridescent would be reflected
Anger,Hatred and Pain would scatter freely away
As myself would do the same,
Never facing Anger, Hatred, and Pain.
Cause through painting I've found a way,
To escape them all with one final stroke.

    Miss You
I remember the smell of your hair
And the feel of your warm caress
Sometimes I think I smell it in the air
Sometimes I think I feel you when I rest
Subtle things of you I will keep forever
    I miss you...

Heres another one. ^^ This ish my 4th poem..

    Tears of Forgotten Years

I shred tears of forgotten years,
'Cause I know you won't appear.
I brim tears of obdurate sheets
For no one's warm could compete
I well tears of your loved embrace
For no one else would meet your praise
I bleed tears of your gentle kiss
For never again would I've known such bliss
I draw tears of your caress touch
For never have I experience such a rush
I pour tears of the laughter we had shared
From then on, I've never known one I've loved and cared
I cry tears of lonely nights,
For no one else would be right

I offered you my body, heart and soul
But your reply was a simple "No"
Your said I was foolish and young
Possessed by rage, words of scathe were sung
Tears of hurt brimmed within my eyes
My body escapes for the door
A hand upon my shoulder with a sigh
Love and declaration shook me to the core
A smile of contentment crossed my lips
As I ran toward your embrace for a kiss

But fate likes to play cruel games
And death is the prize they gained
With the turn of a wheel and a simple call
From then, I knew my astral world was gonna fall

Now I lay before your grave
With the drenching rain and it's crave
I freed a painful piercing scream
For everything seems nothing more but a dream
And yet, I shed the tears of forgotten years.
'Cause I know, you will never reappear.
And this succinct pain within my heart, is too much to bear.
But I know for sure, I'll never wake from this horrid nightmare.

    Scavenger
By Matthew "The Mattykins" C. Hage

    Little blackbird, little raven
    Tell me what you saw
Let me see through your eyes
Let me see what you see
Tell me tales, tell me stories
    Tell me it all
    Tell me what it's like
With this vast knowledge of beautiful visions
Kept under lock and key in your mind

    Little blackbird, little raven
    Tell me what you heard
Let me hear through your ears
Let me hear what you hear
Tell me tales, tell me stories
    Tell me it all
    Tell me what it's like
With everyone's dark secrets and horrendous crimes
Kept under lock and key in your mind

    Little blackbird, little raven
    Tell me what you found
    Let me find through you
Let me find what you find
Tell me tales, tell me stories
    Tell me it all
    Tell me what it's like
With the so many treasures you know of
Kept under lock and key in your mind

    Little blackbird, little raven
Tell me tales, tell me stories
    Tell me it all
    Tell me what it's like
    To be a scavenger
    To be a spy
    What's it like
    To know everything
    To see everyone
    Tell me little blackbird
    Tell me little raven
    What's it like
To have all the world's beauty
To have all the world's secrets
To have all the world's treasures
    At your disposal

    Monster
I had my own soul and heart once
But thats what they stole from me
They cast me away into the pit
They try to hide what they cant kill
Its their fault, they made me this thing
Poured their hate into my viens
Forced their greed into my mind
Molded a new heart from their pain
But they forgot fear, now thats all they know
Fear all that they were, and that I am
The monster they could not destroy.

    Glad
    Im glad you hurt me
I was getting close to feeling...
    Im glad you destroyed me
I was getting close to seeing...
Im glad you consumed my soul
I was getting close to being...
Im glad you ate my heart
    I was getting close to...
    To loving you.

    A Tear For A Sister

You lie there in my arms.
    A proud sister am I.
    You slip further away.
    Now I start to cry.
One tear runs down my face.
    Your heart beat grows weaker.
    A little choke.
    Another tear.
    I hold youre hand.
    Your sister's here.
    Your eyes close.
    Now not just one tear.
I place you in your mothers arms.

I just wrote this poem for the girl Ive secretely loved forever.I just gave it to her,I about crapped my pants I was so nervous.

    My Fire
Locked inside my heart, my secret fire
You have always been my only desire
I stare at you in awe,and wish you were mine
I want to taste your sweet skin so divine
And to hold your heart,so frail and weak
I want to wipe the tears of sorrow from your cheek
I can hear your cries of silent desperation
I am always here, your secret salvation
So please hear these precious words I bleed
Be the queen I so badly need
And make my life all that it should be.

    Removing the Fear

I havent written in a long time but here goes....

I want to take you away from here,
Remove you from all the fear,
You are clueless on what to do,
Seek the lies but not the truth.

Having all the demons after you,
Torturing you for what you do,
    I will promise you this,
And I swear...I will take you away from here.

Listen here...I know you are scared,
    Monsters eyes that always stare,
I know you want to leave this place,
Lets hope you leave without a trace.

There is so much of the world to see,
    Many places Id rather be,
And with so much ____ that youve been through,
A sigh of relief that I offer you.

I will take you away from here,
Remove you from all the fear,
I will take you away from here.......

    White Roses

    Oh, what utter perfection
    As it gave one salvation
The aroma dangled within the air
As the eyes roam without a care

Tempted with perfection, tempted by beauty
While the stem and leaves held it steady
The layers were possessed by Asian's silk
While the skin were hued by creamy milk.

    Protected forever by keenful thorn
If one shall touch, a crimson river willbe drawn
Yet, as time begins to meet it's death
Only crispful hazel petals will be left

One by one they take their fall
Until none were left at all
But as the shedded pieces were being sweep
    You realized,
White roses had never smelled so sweet

    Dear Allen G.
    By Matthew "Mattykins" C. Hage

I see famous millionaires marry teenage waitresses they meet in restraurants
I see child-and-teen-idol pop-singers dress in clothes that makes lingerie look public
I see people carve swastikas into the barks of trees because they think it looks cool
having no recollection or knowledge of what it meant before it was raped
I see blue-haired, nose-pierced freaks sing about lost love and how much the goverment sucks
to appeal to rebellious teenagers to make more money, not giving a **** about anyone

I see attention-craving depressos "write in blood" about how pointless life is
And how dear a razor-blade is, so they can get a few glances here and there
I see athletes sign contracts for talk shows to get more publicity and money and fame
I see bathroom stalls marked with "Kill All Jews" and "Enslave The Blacks"
since people think they're so bad, because apparently they're that much different
I see the "French" part of a French Vanilla Coffee sticker peeled off
because someone thought they were so witty and hilarity would ensue
I see people posting notes of how stupid and pointless collecting soda can tabs is
thinking they're so smart because they can crush someone's spirits by using the internet

I see writers deemed famous after recycling their same ideas, plagiarizing themselves over and over again
feeding them through the machine, for every different story they design, and are called "original"
I see people in a parade to protect "innocent children" from a "despicable act" like abortion
and in the same breath spew Original Sin while putting a bullet between the eyes of a doctor

I see neanderthals so lazy to find a trash bin that they think it's okay to toss trash out the window
I see barbarians who have the testicular fortitude to proclaim that animals are sentient and have no feelings or thought
I see tree-huggers condescending carnivores for killing animals, while eating vegetables
vegetables that are the limbs ripped from a living plant, farmed with machinery that kill countless mice, snakes, and voles

    You once said, Allen G.,
That you "saw the best minds of your generation destroyed by madness"
And while this is truly sad, as you have had many truly great minds
I believe I have you topped.
For you see, Allen G., my generation
    Has no great minds

:dizzy: It is 1:05 am (v.v Got up around 7:30am cause mothers wants me to enroll in a new "better" school. ><!!!) and I am so sleep deprived...anyway heres a quick 3 minute poem..

    The feeling of heavy lids
For "Good night" my mind bids
    The sound of crashing waves
    Within my eardrum's cave
    The taste of morning breath
    Even though I haven't rest.
The sight of the computer monitor
Makes my body craves for a slumber.

-Yawn- Nighty night peeps. -.- zZzZZ
