All I have to say to this is.. wow. This ending surprised me in more ways than one, and made me fall in love with the series all over again. Oh, how I wish there was more.

I really liked the three senshi were turning their Star Tambos into weapons. At first, I thought it was somewhat corny and turning into some kind of mecha live action series, but..

When Mars released both her own and Venus' Sailor Star Tambo.. It made me feel so sad, and happy and surprised all at once. Mars cared deeply for Venus, and this little scene just awakened those emotions inside of me.

Queen Beryl's acting was really amazing in this one. To me, she shined in this episode; Her voice really showed that she had lost all hope. Without Metaria, she has no powers, and without Endymion, no reason to live. I find that Beryl redeemed herself in the end, just by showing that she could love somebody, and by (somewhat) helping the Inner Senshi by explaining to them the situation.

Jadeite: Beryl-sama, the Dark Kingdom will crumble!
Beryl: If you want to run, then run. I won't leave this castle.
Jadeite: Then I also [will stay].
Beryl: That's enough. I’m done with playing Queen Make-Believe.
[..]What are you doing? I have taken the spell off of you.
Jadeite: I have decided that Beryl-sama is my master.
    Beryl: ...What?
Jadeite: I will not leave your side.
Beryl: You are a foolish one.
    Jadeite: Yes!

The fact that when Jadeite was taking Beryl's hand -- and most likely readying to kiss it -- a huge rock fell on them, was quite humorous to me. It wasn't at first, but when I explained the situation to a friend and re-read what I just said, I couldn't help but laugh.

This is a definite end to the series; The Maboroshi no Ginzuishou shattered, and the past life's burdens are no longer. There is definite and irrevertible closure in this act. I can only hope to see more "Making Of" special and such.

Those Moon Youmas really annoyed me, though. It made me wonder why Jupiter, Mercury, Mars and Venus were there in the first place. The Princess can create those youmas which were a several times more powerful than the Senshi. I can only assume that the inners had these weapons in the past and that their powers were fully awakened then.

I'd give this act a 10/10, but there's a few flaws in the plotline -- such as "How did the Senshi suddenly know they could get their hands on these weapons? Why didn't they use them against Metaria, when they were equally in danger of destruction for both the Earth and themselves." or "Why did the Shitennou appear, and why was Jadeite holding the painting?". Jadeite looked like the past's Jadeite, being friendly to Endymion. I thought Beryl was now his master?

I'm also wondering why (and how) Minako and the Shitennou got their lives back. I'm guessing that when restoring the lives of everybody, she brought Venus and the others back to life. I'm not sure if the Shitennou are -really- alive, though, or if Venus even remembers that she died. I wonder if the Senshi have their full memories, considering they forgot about Usagi and (possibly) their own alter egos.

I'm surprised Minako came back to life, seeing as she died before Usagi destroyed the planet.. and Mamoru as well. Unless all Usagi had to do was think about reviving Minako as well along with everyone else. Since Nephrite was already alive and picking out a present for Ami.. why was he seen as if he were dead with the rest of the Shittenou? To me, it seemed the Shittenou were dead and would only appear when Mamoru called them for help. I thought some scenes were a bit cheesy but tears fell at the end. I thought on a whole, the inner senshi were pretty weak against foes when the show carried on into later episodes. The only thing I regret is not being able to see a young Beryl with a red afro saying 'hi' at the end.

XD! Seriously though, I think Beryl might be my second favourite character (after Minako/Venus/V, of course!).

Some scenes were indeed corny, but I loved it as a whole. What Usagi did with her Ginzuishou could be seen as a "roll back" -- which would explain why Minako and Mamoru are alive again, and why Nephrite has his powers again.

Although, if you listen carefully to the Shitennou's voices, you'll notice Kunzite's voice is of his past self. It seems they were revived, yes, but also received their memories and free will.

This is the Pretty Guardian Sailormoon Subforum. Pretty Guardian Sailormoon, or 'PGSM' is the name given to the Live Action Series.
