Music Primus

As far as I know, there has yet to be a Primus thread, and there needs to be one. With them getting back together and the release of theri new album thingy.....

So yeah, anyone dig Les Claypool...and those other two guys.

 

Tim Alexander and Larry Lalonde. Those are the other two guys. This band is phenomenal. So original. They are one of the most talented bands out in todays mainstream music scene. No one plays like claypool does. Not Wooten,Clarke,Malone. No one. He has an unbelievable sound and uses unique Carl Thompson "Piccolo" Basses. He writes these wonderful Pop and Slap riffs and fits them into actual songs that rock. He doesn't just show off his skill, he plays within the band. Wooten is better technique wise but I just don't think he has that band "mentality" that Claypool does. Bela Fleck and the Flecktones are good (Wooten is in this band) but you can barely here him at times. On the other hand Les is always at the forefront of the Primus songs.
