Okay, in the last episode of the Kyoto Arc, Kenshin visits a gravetsone and leaves flowers there...

Whose grave is it...? I've only got two thoughts:

    1) Tomoe (my stronger thought)
    2) The kids of the slavers he was travelling with when he was first rescued by Hiko. (for some reason this idea originally creeped into my thoughts when I watched this...)

BakaMattSu, may she/they rest in piece...

I'm sorry to do this to you, my friend, but you know what happens when I see an unanswered question ...

Maybe it's a lost childhood pet? A lost hamster could really get to a guy, you know?

    That's enough outta me. Bye!

If you remember from the beginning of the OVA, Kenshin dug graves for all the people he was travelling with(even the people who killed them) out in the country somewhere.

The Grave was Tomoe's. In the same episode Kenshin mentions that he had trouble going there knowing that he killed the person in the grave (GOMEN-NASAI if that is in episode 63).

    *SPOILER*
Also later on there is a lot of Symbolism of Tomoe coming back to haunt him, such as those flowers(Iris's? or what?) that Tomoe smelled like.
Maybe Enishi is coming up [IMG]!!

Sad to say, that that's where the anime goes independent from the Manga...

After Kyoto, the Manga delves into the Enishi Arc...but if you glance thru the episode listing (Way back in the 'Know me Better' thread), he never makes it into the anime...

    Darn!

Thanks for clearing that up, I wonder why Enishi was taken out? I should search for the answer...(may take a while)

    http://ryuuen.com/enishi/

Only from my quick sources, but the Enishi shrine might have details on it...

-BakaMattSu, maybe 'cuz the anime caught up to the manga, and didn't want to wait... or maybe the OVA storyline is set as a flashback in the story and it wouldn't have fit...
