I have to say i thought it was funny. (Althought I didn't get some of the jokes they made) 'tis was good though...exept the cruddy voice acting. If you need a refresh, I think Yumi's voice is the same one who makes "Mandy" from "Girm adventures of Billy and Mandy" and the other one is simply "Starfire" from "Teen Titans". The manager, i just dont know....his voice sucks. This is a show I would consider enjoying more in japanese dub. Still, it made me laugh a bit!

I personaly wasn't very impressed with the shows. In my opinion, there was only two things I liked. The girls speaking Japanese in the cartoon, and the little shorts they play at the end of the episode. I'd say the music, but I can play that when I want. No reason to turn on the tv with my PC next to me.

I find the show to be interesting. They are different but their friendship is tight :) I don't know who I like better either, they are both cool. Songs are great too!!!!!!

I saw a 4 year old at the mall point to a poster and scream "Hi Hi Puffy!"

To the person who didn't get some jokes, I don't think you missed anything. Aside from a couple dropped in Japanese phrases the same scripts could be used for dozens of other cartoon shows with minimal changes.

The media info says it's for 6 to 11 year olds so I can't pass judgment as to how successful it at that age range aside from the tot at the mall. What I can say is it's very generic and has very little to interest older animation fans - and there are some shows out there that are made for small kids but appeal to many or all ages... this show lacks much of that appeal overall.

Their strategy of creating 3 short stories per episode seems to only emphasize the generic quality of the plots. I wonder if they determined that young children can only follow a 6 minute plot or if they have the idea to include single episodes in future or foreign "Cartoon Cartoon" type cartoon collection programs in the future.

It's not Puffy's fault, older Japanese pop culture fans who've seen the show think the 15 second bumpers with the real live Puffy far outshines the animated segments.

I think recognizing the voices is very telling for why it's disappointing for older fans. They want to see something different, quite probably something Japanese, not a mix and match of characters and plots anyone watching can trace to "Teen Titans", "Grim and Mandy" and the "Power Puff Girls" but maybe more generic. Think about it, how many other cartoon characters you you slip into the same plots - if they haven't already done that same plot :(

Someone who isn't a kid commented to me that the only unusual thing you can find is the occasional dropping of a simple Japanese phrase. I commented that it's always good marketing to include some "exclusive" material kinds can repeat and see if their friends 'get' it or not. Those that don't realize they should be watching the show or they feel left out

The character profiles (and color schemes) do seem to be more or less Raven and Starfire from "Teen Titans" toned down some + the Pat Morita character. It would be more fun if they had a better protagonist, like Ayu or W  , and had longer more adventurous... umm... _original_ stories... but that's not likely to happen.

The design is certainly professional though I'm used to the Rodney Greenblat designed characters seen on Puffy's singles and Japanese programs for over 5 years. I can only guess Cartoon Network didn't want designs they couldn't own outright.

You get to hear Puffy music throughout the show and now I'm realizing that this and other anime with the Japanese music intact will mean that in less than a decade little kids listening now will be teenagers completely used Japanese songs and lyrics.
