Music punk/ska music

    who listens to punk and or ska in here? i listen to a little bit, but not much. if you do list who you listen to. the few bands i listen to are nofx, misfits, pennywise, dropkick murphys, and reel big fish. other than those few, i dont listen to it much,

    I like punk and daft punk. I have do admit, I don't know what ska is. Never heard any, but If it's similar to punk I'd probably like it. Before everyone asks, yes, daft punk is a genre as well as a band.

    I used to be a huge punk,not so much anymore,but anyway punk is pretty good but i like metal more.You should check out The Distillers, Minor Threat,Sex Pistols,Social Distortion,and Dropkick Murphy's.I could go on forever.

    the easiest way for me to explain ska, its like punk with trumpets i guess. thats easy to understand, aint it?

    I like Famous last Words, Unabomber, Entrophy, and Rubber Band. I don't expect any of you to have heard of these cause there local.

    i dont think 182 is punk, its more pop-punk if you ask me, but you didnt, so my opinion doesnt matter, therefore this reply is completey useless and has no point.

    Ummm...i don't think metal is really punk music exactly...there are some differences...but i like AFI. They're punk, i think. i haven't heard any ska, though.

    Here are some bands you might want to check out:

    Five Iron Frenzy- Ska

    Bad Religion- Punk Rock

    Gob- Punk Rock

    Sum 41- Punk rock, I guess?

    Blink182 and Simple Plan, I guess they're pop punk, but I listen to 'em.

    Some other guys I listen to:

    Superchic[k]

    Good Charlotte

    Treble Charger

    New Found Glory

    Not By Choice

    Well, that's pretty much it for the moment.

    tidus, i dont think metal is punk technically. listen to some metal then some punk, or the other way around, whichever. yes they do have some of the same qualities, but they arent the same. they are some differences. i dont feel like explaining them rite now tho.

    is No Doubt punk? my friend said they are. I think that Tragic Kingdom is the best of all their albums.

    yeh I like punk and ska, most notably in punk terms "The Stranglers" and Madness and the Specials are my favorite ska bands, could go on about punk for ever blah blah blah......
