Anime Record of Lodoss war

I just saw the episodes 1-7 of Record of Lodoss war. This is the first time i say that this series is great. The characters have different personalities, great character designs and different reasons for going on this journey. <I liked it very much>

My favorite character is Woodchuck and Parn

When Karla took woodchuck as a host, then it would be the last time we hear from him ? <the last time we see him in the series?>

Nooooooooo...I liked Woodchuck He's cute, funny, and i like the X-scar on his chin .. :sad: Its a shame that he was taken out of the series that way :sad:

 

I personally think the best part of RLW is the Opening theme and the ending "extras" (ya know, chibi characters ^^)

 

My friend Tstripe tried to get me into Lodoss, but he was far more sucessful in getting me addicted to Slayers. I liked the character designs for this series, and found some of the characters (Shirys (sp?) especially) to be interesting but in the end it just felt like an uninteresting D and D campaign to me (in fact, T also told me that it was based on something along the lines of a D and D-style rp game the creators had). I couldn't get past the first quest, to be honest, especially because I thought Spark was about the most annoying and one-dimensional character I'd ever seen in anime. Sorry if I've offended anyone, I did not mean to. I just really didn't fancy Lodoss War.

RLW is a great anime! I agree that Kiseki no Umi is an AWESOME song! I loved it right away!
What I liked about RLW was the atmosphere and how much it was like a Lord of the Rings kinda story, except much more interesting...not that Lord of the Rings isn't interesting....anyway, I've only seen the first few episodes, not up to the 7th one for sure, but overall, I think it's really fun to watch, although it's not exactly like a humorous anime or anything.
Parn rocks! He reminds me so much of...of....someone I know, but I forgot just now. *scratch head* hehe, well, i hope to catch more RLW sometime if i can...

 

The OVA are Awsome once you get into it a litle ways.. its kinda slow at first until the quest to kill the Red dragon starts and what not.. But after that its amazing stuff~!

13 part.. there are 26 eps to the OVA. Record of Lodoss was one of my brothers first DVD box set. the first part is the war between the 2 kings then the second part is about the reincarnation of Kardess (something like that)

there is more the 13 eps im sure of that. Because the TV remake is way different i hear. Just because i got into an argument with a friend who seen the remake and i seen the original.. and we both thought we were talking about the same thing...

I just saw the 2nd volume of Record of Lodoss war .. so that was the ova i didnt know that.

What i liked in the series is that every character have their own journey to accomplish.
