Can't wait for his game!!! Out on the 25th this month in America and 27th in Britain... Just look at this game

Heres some background to this ambitious game...

*Do not get mistaken, this game is not like GTA3*....... Set in the 1980s, Russia. You play as an avatar who witnesses your parents get arrested by the secret police and later executed under the orders of Vasily Karasov... he later became president of Novistrana - former state of the Soviet Union and spent vast amounts of money on his own properties leaving the city living in poverty, corruption and possible uprisings. As a determined person seeking revenge you start on gaining trust within the sectors of the city to eventually rid the president.... Using by all meas possible. You are allowed to hire specialised people to help you achieve your goal. These include celebrities, army chiefs, gang leaders, assassins, and many more. Your orders and actions stretch through many possibilities ranging from contract kills, sniping, demonstrations, riots, graffiti, vandalism, public speeches, broadcast news propganda, charities, cajole people, terrorise people...... and that's only the beginning. Beware, what ever action you take... there is a consequence. You must choose your options wisely and to positive effect.
Choosing a role between a Liberator, Dictator or Manipulator.... you choose your way to how you lead your factions and win the hearts of the people....In Republic: The Revolution...

You'd need a pretty fast computer... recommened 256ram and 1500mhz. The one thing that might be annoying about this game is bugs. because it's so big bugs will probably be very common. Let's just pray and hope all goes well.

    Frustration

There has been increasing speculation that this game will not be released in late June, but in July or even August. Does anyone out there know the 'precise' day it's coming out?

Some baaaaaad news. It seems like Elixir Studios has postponed the releasing of REP:T REV tomorrow YET again :( However, they have confirmed that next week (11th of July) will be the official day when they release it...... Or it could be another bluff. Who knows. We will just have to wait and seeeeeee.

There are rumours that it may be made for the X box and the PS2 but if they do decide to do so. REP: The REV won't see the light on them consoles until 2008 at the least. ----> According to an article.

To keep you readily updated, I bring you more news about the release of Republic: The Revolution.

Makers Elixir studios has yet to officially anounce a release date. I can say that this week's rumoured release date (11th July - Friday) is a hoax and it will most likely hit the shelves in August.

I will keep you all informed until then.

This would be my last post on this thread as Elixir studios has officially announced the release date of REP:TREV.

Worldwide release on 29th August 2003. Germany and (I think) Switzerland are the only two exceptions, the game will be available on the 4th September 2003.
