Recreation Requesting Prayer (Seriously :(:(:( )

I haven't posted, because I've been at the hospital.

Monday, I took a bike ride with my family. My brother raced us home. I went around back, but the gate was locked, so I went around the front.

When I got there, our door was open. My house looked like somebody had been murdered. There was blood everywhere and my brother was hanging on to our shoe rack. I was so scared. He had lost a lot of blood. I just ran outside and yelled for my mom.

He was putting his bike away and when he went to close the door he slipped and his left arm went straight through the door's window. He injured a major artery and his Venus (something) and one nerve. He's going to be all right and he didn't need a tranfusion, but please pray for him because his nerve might not heal properly.

 

I can't send proper prayers, being a secular humanist agnostic, but my hopes and best wishes are with your brother.

Is he left-handed? Nerve damage could be more serious if it's in his dominant arm. How's his movement at the moment?

If he injured a major artery and didn't need a blood transfusion then your mother must have done the right thing pretty quickly. Good for her.

I'll say a few rosaries for your brother I really hope that he gets better soon. But that's good that he is okay ^__^x Be sure that to stay strong and have faith that he will get better and be healed

Ouch, that must have been scary. I'll remember to pray for your brother and family. Sorry I'm probably not that helpful but I have never ran into that kind of situation. Good luck.

Thanks, everyone. That's really what i was hoping for, because I know not everybody prays, so just sending him a little well-wishing is really great of you guys. Sorry if that phrase doesn't make any sense.


He was supposed to get back today, but he was to see the plastic surgeon one more time. He's coming home tomorrow.

He's predominantly right-handed although he claims ambidexterity, so it'll be all right. Also, his nerve is supposed to heal 1 mm a month, so he'll be able to use his arm without any worries in a year if all goes well. But it still sucks because last week on the 20th, he got a PS2 for his birthday...

It'll only take a couple of months before he can use it pretty well though.
Also, I was with him constantly since, (well, I'm not exactly his brother since I'm a girl, ) since I'm his sister, but yesterday he finally forced us to go home and take a rest.

Ironically, that's what he siad at the beginning:

"if I really wanted to, I could get one of those one-haned controls they have at GameZone. But don't bother, I'll be able to use it in a couple of weeks."

My mom asked if we could rent one, but they don't rent. It doesn't matter, he doesn't want one and he can flex his fingers and use his hands, although he's not supposed to.

So against all advice, my brother has been playing GTA3 since he got home. We also figured out another solution that brought us closer together. I have the directional pad and he has the X button, the Circle button, the Square button and the Triangle button. It was fun

He's fine and when I showed him these posts he was like:

"You didn't hafta, ya know, but tell them thanks alot anyway."

So thanks alot!

I'll pray for him. Unfortunately i'm so distracted that i forget many times who i was supposed to pray for :sweat2: Well what I do is asking for the ppl i was requested prayers for... God knows who they are
