I just started to watch this series. I find it intresting. There are a bunch of titles for it. But the American release is Requiem form the Darkness.

The japanese names are Kosetsu Hyaku Monogatari, Kyogoku Natsuhiko Kosetsu Hyaku Monogatari, and Natsuhiko Kyougoku's Worldly Horror Stories.

    Plot
Tired of writing riddles for children, Yamaoka Momosuke plans on gathering spooky and gruesome stories and publishing them in an anthology called Hyakumonogatari ("One Hundred Tales"). While researching these old myths and legends he comes across a mysterious trio who call themselves the Ongyou. They are detectives who are investigating the legends to reveal their truths...and bring those in the wrong to justice. Each time Momosuke meets the Ongyou he must face horrible truths and battle with his morals, but he's seeing things he shouldn't be seeing... curtsy of Ann

    Episode 1 was interesting.

Yamaoka Momosuke was walking around in this area and he almost died. He was saved my one of the trio which he would found out later. It started to rain so he saught shelter in an abandand store along with a monk. Inside they found out why it was abandon by the owner. It started when child with a special skill died. There was also two other guests. They started to hear this strange noise. Yamaoka said it was the sound of a ghost washing these special beans. The monk was freaked out. They spent the night there. The monk had a nightmare. He got up in the middle of the night to find the cause of the sound. It turns out to be the little boy. Yamaoka follows him and sees the truth also. Something happens and then Yamaoka is in front of the store but it is burned down.

There is more to it but I won't spoil it all for you. :p

So has anyone watched this series? It really isn't new.

I saw it a long time ago. I like the main character, but I didn't care much for the ending.

I know this one was a little older. I had vol 2 of the anime and I finally got it all. I find it all very interesting.
