Don't know where to post this, video games or Otaku Tech, but since it's reffering to resolution change, i guess otaku tech is suitable.

Anyways, was wondering if you could change the screen resolution for the hit game StarCraft? Rather annoying when you have a 19' Screen and the resolution is 640X480.

I *believe* that the Brood Wars expansion bumps it up to 800x600...

No wait, that's Diablo 2 that had an expansion that increased the res.

Blizzard's really bad about not making games that let you adjust the res, in Starcraft there's no way to change that. Sorry man.

You could try running it in a window though, if SC allows that, although that may be more annoying than just having the huge res.

    From the Battle.net FAQ:

What resolution does StarCraft run at?
StarCraft runs in SVGA mode at 640x480, 256-color. We chose this resolution to provide the best combination of performance, compatibility, and appearance. Allowing multiple resolutions would give too much of an advantage to players with newer or higher-end systems.

    Case closed.
