They had better not make Robocop run, make wisecracks, drive a pimped out robo-car or battle to the beat of rap/rock. And by God they had better not remove the line "*****es, leave".

Edit: They better keep "I'd buy that for a dollar!", "Help meeeeee" and "I WORK FOR **** JONES!" They also better not alter ED-209.

What could possibly be better than a hotsteppin', wisecrackin', robotic cop who discovers what Rap music really is, breakdances with the gangs he blows up and at the end of the movie learns a valuable lesson: that just because he's all chromed out doesn't mean we're not all the same on the inside.

    ...Except for Robocop.

    ...He's a cyborg.

Oh god I hope they don't get a "creative" bug in them and decide to start fusing movies together in an attempt to create something new.

"Tom Cruise stars as Cyborg super spy frozen in the sixties so that he could be thawed out in the late ninties and don a mystical norse mask cursed by Loki himself to fight crime and slay Vampires over the course of a trilogy."

What's the worst that could happen?

If they make a new Robocop and ruin it im so gonna lay a smack down on the people who did... and for musics sake they better be using John Williams for it or they are jsut plain idiotic and retarded... (I <3 John Williams, he brought us Superman and all the other awesome music!!!)

Er, no. JW is great but isn't needed at all for Robocop, especially when the original composer, Basil Poledouris, did excellent work the first time around. Williams is not the only skilled composer in Hollywood.

Amen to that! I think the sequels didnt do robocop justice. If they remake i want to be as good as the Spiderman movies or Batman movies....

RoboCop one was a rather ok movie. But from there it went downwards.

I don't have high hopes for this...my question is however:

Why remake a good old classic movie despite it having a gigantic "failure" mark on it?

I think its that hollywood is having a huge problem coming up with new ideas.. I mean they are making Rambo 4.. sure it might be good.. probably wont be..

And maybe with the success of the new Battman movie where they can remake the series to actualy be good that they are like.. HEY lets try some more remakes and get it right..
