Anime Robotech: Battlecry

I can't wait to get this game...
It comes out sometime this month for us Cubers... already has for PS2s and X-boxes... ><

It'll be sooooo worth the wait though.

And when the gameboy advance game comes out...

What do you all think of the new game, Robotech: Battlecry?

 

The GBA one is different... its a side scroller, ala Gradius or the Macross game for SNES. The GBA will be called Robotech: Macross Saga.

Anyway, Robotech Battlecry is, from the limited info I have, sort of like going through the first 36 episodes of Robotech. You're an original character, not Rick Hunter or Roy Fokker or anything.

 

All i know is that there are three modes of robot, Warrior, Fighter, and Defender. Defender is the bipedal bot form, Fighter is a plane form, and Warrior is kinda in between.

 

I love this game. In fact when I rented it I played it so much that I actually killed my PS2. The game looks amazing. I love cell shaded graphics. Unfortunatly I didn't get too far into the game due to the stupid PS2 eating itself, but the from what I did play it was great. The controls are good as well as the soundtrack and the voice acting. Now I only wish I had the money to fix my system and get the game.

I saw this game while looking through the PS2 section at blockbuster and I'm planning on saving up for a PS2 just to get it I wonder if the gameplay is anything like Zone of Enders...

 

Robotech Battlecry is awesome. Robotech for GBA advance is boring so, IMO. BTW, it´s funny they used the robotech.com avatars for the game haha.

 

Ugh, tell me about it. Too difficult, IMO... waaaaaaaay too many enemies coming in at once and the modes arent exactly effective in what they do.

Normally I enjoy those games too...
