While they are action packed episodes, newbies will probably be quite confused as to why the robots, characters and story will be completely different. It's kinda like showing one episode of Star Trek: The Original Series, and then showing the 2 last episodes of Deep Space Nine. Cool, but theres a lot of story missing.

I have to agree with you on that note. When I heard CN was going to aire Robotech, I was very excited, but to jump that way will throw alot of the viewers who don't know the storyline from the pilot episode to the finally.

That was so since the giant robot week is 3 days I guess. The new Robotech series´s director, Tommy Yune told us that they suggested to CN to air New Generation in order to promote the new Robotech series that continues the end of the old Robotech series. Since CN has chances to air the new series, they did what HG wanted, I guess. Tommy Yune also said "Boobytrap will be the first episode, of course" probably due to all the series will start with the first episode (this is my thought)

Who are you in robotech.com Nephilim_X , BTW?

I'm not TOO ecstatic about the robotech part(got all of macross saga on dvd), yet if they try to bring eva to cn, i think they might butcher it with censoring. Does it have scenes or themes that need to be censored? I was really looking forward to getting that series one day.

    UPDATE 2003.02.25:
    GIANT ROBOT WEEK CONTEST!!!

One of the Robotech episodes that will air during Cartoon Network's Giant Robot Week will be slightly altered! FIRST PRIZE:
One lucky winner will receive a Masterpiece Veritech Skull Leader, autographed by Dan Woren, the voice of Roy Fokker!

    SECOND PRIZE:
Three lucky contestants will win Ben Dixon's Masterpiece Veritech!
