To all who have ever shared a room, let's talk about our room mates. Of course, I wouldn't say anything bad about mine because he lives right next to me and could read this by turning his head. Not that there's anything bad to say about him ... yet ... Seriously, he seems like a pretty cool guy.
I live in an all-guys residence, unfortunately, so it's a total sausage fest at all times around here. Anyway, the "Gentlemen of Little House A1W" are all pretty cool. Nothing else to say yet.

I really like my roommates, even if we do have our disagreements at times. Those kinds of things seem to happen whenever you live with someone, and you have to either learn how to deal with it in a mature manner or be willing to live a very unhappy life.

It sometimes helps if you know the person before you start living with them, but this can also be a difficulty. I know there are some people back home that I would just have trouble living with, not because they're bad people, but because I can't stand some of their habits.

*looks around room* And speaking of bad habits, I really need to clean up in here. My books and papers are making it look like a dump. *wanders off to clean*

My roomate is cool. She's very quiet and sweet. And yet has a sense of humor. Not the best sense of humor mind you...but has one. We're pretty close already, so it's good. She also has amazing art skillz, and is insanely modest about it. Like, I love to draw, and I'm pretty okay at it, and so I brag all the time. I couldn't understand it when I found these beautiful drawings on Linda's bed that she'd left there by accident. Modesty, pfffft. hehe. Yep, University life is kewl.

I had the room-mate from hell. First year she lived with us (meaning some friends) she used to leave the house unlocked, and jump on this trampoline of her's making the floors creak. I lived downstairs and she upstairs at the time. One night, (just to name one instance) she had company over at 2am. My good roomie and I were planning to wake up early the next morning to do some things. Well one friend she had over wanted some carrot juice thing. So she turns on her juicer. the whole house is shaking. finally after 10 minutes I went up to yell at her, but my good roomie was right behind me yelling the 'F' word and such. lol.

So after my year of hell, a year goes by and I get to live with her again for 2 years! just because she wanted to live upstairs and we needed a roommate desperately for the house. Biggest mistake of my life. I shared the washroom with her and she would see me the most. all she would do is complain and say I didnt do any cleaning and lie to me saying my other roommates were thinking of not living with me next year because I said no to her about cleaning her filthy bathtub that she only used.

She would be noisy, steal my food, I'd buy cookies, she'd be the one to open and stuff her face with them. She'd take my eggs, replace them with rotten stinky ones, if replaced at all. She'd have parties. Glad I had a door lock cuz one night she was drunk and tried to kick down my door to sleep with me (yes she said it out loud her intentions). She flashed me once. tried to kiss me several times with greens in her teeth and garlic on her face. She'd not think twice about others feelings if it wasn't obvious. She'd turn down or up the heat and turn the ac off without asking. and say insensitive things to me... sorry lol. I'm done.. no I'm not. Everyday, ESPECIALLY SATURDAY MORNINGs! She'd wake up before 7am and clean and wash her dishes she left for several days. My room is next to the kitchen so I felt the scrubbing of the dishes and the sink and everything.. and then her horrible juicer.. everyday! brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr shook the whole damn house man.. grrr. then when I'd get mad at her and tell her off, she'd run downstairs and cry to my other room-mates like I was the jerk..

okay. I'm done. ... :( (one more thing she still left the house unlocked quite a bit. I had to get a lock for my room. she is one who doesnt care about her own possessions to lock up but doesnt care twice about others' stuff.)

I'm starting to worry about my room mate. He recently suggested that we all take off our shoes and prance around outside in our socks. It was really the demonstration that scared me.
And yesterday, in the middle of a conversation, he lowered the back of his shorts and walked down the hall with his *** HANGING OUT! I was the only one facing that direction, so everyone thought I was crazy when I started yelling "DON'T EVER DO THAT AGAIN, NATE!" ... he's seriously messing with me, man!

my old roomate and i were best of friends when i decided to move out. it was fine at first. we knew everyone's friends, so things were fine. and then, the fact that we had different sleep tendancies was very obvious. it's 3am and his friends are just showing up, and i'm finally going to bed. or, i'd get up at 7am for class, and he'd just be going to bed. neither of us were very cleanly, so occasionally, one of us would get fed up at the other and clean.

Room-mates... nah, closest ive had was when i shared a tent with 3 guys on me trip to Denmark earlier this year. More or less fine the first 9 days except farting & turning in there sleep which resulted to a elbow-in-the-face wakening. But in the last day they found out that they left there Jim bean whiskey in the sun & therefore hot as hell... they stole my bottle of Jack D which i cleverely stuck at the bottom of my sleeping bag so it was nice & cool, then when they got pissed off it one of them stumbled about & broke my tinted reading glasses & headphones... Just goes to show, dont trust people from Feggie :p

If that is what room-mates are like... bugger that

Well, I'm not in College yet, but once at summer came I had the MOST ANNOYING tentmate in the world...

She was my age, and let's call her "Andrea".

Well, when I arrived at camp, I set up my cot and got unpacked, and I left for five minutes to use the loo, only to find her on my cot going through MY stuff. That pissed me off. At night, I would listen to my CD walkman, and she complained that it was too loud, even though she had hers louder than mine.

Andrea got a "Boyfriend" during the camp session, and every night, when we were supposed to go to bed (10-11 o'clock) she'd come in with this guy, sit on MY cot (I came in a little later than bedtime, becuase I hung around the campfire for a while, but no matter how much I told her she'd never go onto her cot) and made out with the guy until one in the morning

Needless to say, by the sixth day, I kicked her *** out of the tent. (There were other tents, she just went and slept in her *boyfriend's* tent.)

And for another eight days, I had a ten person tent ALL to myself. Ahhh, bliss.

I think that it's kind of the beauty of living away from home, you get to see how it is living with people you aren't used to living with (except for the case that I'm living in a house with my brother). There are three of us downstairs and we manage to keep the house pretty clean but have disagreements every once and a while.. and one problem with living with a friend is that after a while things they do really get on your nerves, but that's the same with any relationship.. actually I kind of locked myself up in my room now because I need time away >__< being an introvert sucks sometimes..

What sucks is that there are girls upstairs who come down every once in a while to do their laundry since the laundry machines are down here. And sometimes they take our dish cloth to clean up dust that gets on the machines.. and they have a cat up there! I'm kind of ticked because we aren't allowed to have pets down here. But I wouldn't want to find a pet in the furnace.. (sorry if that's horrible to say .. but I wouldn't)

My roommate is a slob. He never picks up after himself. I always have to clean, wash his clothes and etc. I cook for him and all he does is say yumm. I pay the rent and every bill. He throws off his diaper and I need to... Oh yeah forgot to tell you guys. My roommate is my son. He is just a baby so he can do this. And he is so cute. :D

My roommate does that too ... just kidding.
I'm a bit annoyed with him at the moment, though. He announced to me yesterday that his girlfriend is coming up this weekend, and he pretty well demanded that I vacate the premises for the duration. Normally, I'd just give my usual noncommittal shrug and leave, but I have TWO MIDTERMS NEXT WEEK! Plus two assignments due for another class, both on Tuesday. So I need my room and my computer this weekend for working purposes. And never mind where I'm supposed to go ... it's too short notice for me to manage to find a way home or anywhere now, and I DO need a place to sleep now and then ...
At least he finally payed his half of the phone bill.
