Inu-Yasha Rumormill

I heard a rumor that I hope comes true. I just want everones elses view on it. This is the rumor I heard. Another company will be doing the Inuyasha Anime in Japanese and it will pick up where it left off. It probably won't happen. I have my reasons why I don't think it will happen. Do you think it will or won't?

 

I really hope it comes true. But I'm not sure if it will happen or not because I have very little knowledge regarding the anime.

 

I also hope that its true- that Inuyasha does continue to go on. However does anybody know that it will be Takahashi Rumiko working on the storyline or anypart of the show? Nevertheless, i don't know anything about this, but i hope that something like this does happen

 

it's probably true. but first off, i'm not even all that sure on why the canceled it. event though many said that it was because it was getting too close to the book. hmm. but, yeah. they should have someone else starting to put out the rest of the anime series for inuyasha.

I think that it would be really cool if that happened.

Then I guess we would get Inu yasha OVAs/OAVs. If anyone here has seen the anime Rurouni Kenshin then you know that is what happened with that anime.

The regular anime ended in a somewhat disappointing way (at least to ME anyway) and nothing was really resolved and there was still a lot of Kenshin's Hitokiri days that were left out. The OVAs/OAVs dealt with that quite nicely...and also dealt with Kenshin and Kaoru's life together (they got married and had a son!).

Anyway...what I am trying to say is that I am ALL for something like that happening. The only thing I DIDN'T like about the OAVs/OVAs was that the characters were drawn quite differently. Still recognizable...but just not the same you know? And the animation was definitely different. But if it gives me closure (Kikyo FINALLY dies and Inu Yasha/Kagome settle down and have a family) then BRING IT!

 

In my opinion, Kikyou shouldn't die untill she gets her revenge on Naraku. She's an important character in the show. Just wondering, but are you saying that Kikyou is in the way of Inuyasha and Kagome's relationship?

Sorry, off topic. Because the ending of the anime ended in such a cliff-hanger, it's likely that it will happen.

 

Was I satisfied with the ending? No. Did it instill a strong sense of resolution and closure within me? Not really, no. Do I think that whoever was responsible for the ending should've taken the initiative and had the dilligence to finish what they started? Of course.

Do I want another company stretching out an already extensive series to include barely recognizable character artwork, voices that barely resemble the former V.A's, and sentimental interactions between the cast that don't even remotely correspond with their designated character traits? No. Just...no.

I'd just have trouble identifying with a new (but probably not improved) Kagome, and if anything the series may lose some of its earlier enchantment to me. The series I once held in so high esteem reduced to shoujo chaos?

No.

Though if the original team reinstated the series, I'd be - well - ecstatic would be an understatement.

 

Oh yeah! Definetly!!! I hope Kikyo dies....she's practically useless and is always messing with Inuyasha's mind. Hello!? You were dead...so why don't you just die again and stay that way, I mean, COME ON!!! No offense to any 'Kikyo-lovers' out there, but I love the Inuyasha & Kagome relationship...

...I hope they continue it...I have not yet seen the last episode of Inuyasha. but I here that it is quite depressing...but still having Inuyasha (even in a differnt way) is better than having none of him at all, right?

 

I hope it is true, although it would be hard to adjust if they changed it alot. It would be better than nothing at all though. I do think should be at rest, but not untill Naraku is dead and she has some part in it. I think after he dies, she will probably just die isn't that what is powering her, her hate for him. I don't think Kikyou should just be walking down a raod and her blows off. She does have an important part in the show, just because she is not in every episode doesn't mean she doesn't play some part in the show. It would be nice to see Kagome and InuYasha have a kid. Hry, and Kikyou could be he/she's fairy godmother.

I would like to see InuYasha go on, but I really don't know yet because I haven't finished watching all the episodes. From where I am now I would like to see it go on.

 

Yeah, I do not like how Inuyasha ended. There was no closure it was kinda like a slap in the face, it kind of came from nowhere. I was hoping for something to happen. Anyways I hope that if this company does follow through that they do not change the orginality of the show.

 

As long as they keep it to the original, i wouldnt mind it. I havent seen the last episode but from what ive heard, it needs closure, bad, really bad. but yea, bring it on.

 

well you have to think of the companies performance,expieriance and so on if the company doesn't know what to do with the anime than that anime that so many people love will go up in flames if not done right but i havent seen the final episode eigher but if they can keep the story line like it is from were im seeing than bring on new episodes

 

Well, as long as they finish that big cliffhanger (NO spoilers ) and do a good job at it, i won't care. Unfrotunately, the manga isn't done in US yet, so i won't know what happens for a looong time. Hopefuly, they finish this one, because some anime's don't do well on their endings.
