    Run to Daddy Tip
    Run to daddy Tip
my momma said when I small
i wasn't very old then but I remember it all
I remember his face and his smile as well
and those strong arms that had catched when i had fell
    I was a rough tomboy, a daddy's girl
he was my god, and i was his world
i knew nothing else, but his affection
and all the times my momma put me down
    i had his protection
along the line my daddy, he started to change
all his kisses and hugs, never were the same
they were so tired and full of pain
i didnt know then, but my dad was ashamed
he was sick and didnt want anyone to see
he closed off from everyone even me
untill the day he finally died
i figured out all those times he lied..
he was dying for two years..
and for the first time i truly cried
    everything around me went away
a change for the new day
i no longer have his voice to wake up to
or no one to help me make it through
so im gonna go, im gonna fly
with him up to the heavens, the deep blue skies
so we he won't be like me..alone..
    run to daddy Tip
    he's taking you home

Nicely done. Your poetry is always well written and a pleasure to read, if a little sad.

Nice one, sad but well structured. I love the meaning of the poem though. Your works are always a favorite.

Very nicely done. Great story, you projected the feeling of your main character being around her father very well. Excellent job, very nicely done. Your poems are always great to read. :)
