Just before going to bed at 1 or 2 am today, I ended up staying up until 4 am doing this slightly sketchy drawing with my graphic tablet. "Wo Ai Ni" is the name of a song or two I had on my playlist. I think it means "I love you" in Chinese. I felt like drawing just a face, with glasses, but it didn't turn out the way I wanted it to. (I'll have to redo it someday.)
Edit: Check out the newer version in my 3rd post below!

It's a really nice picture. Okay so the mouth throws it off a bit. It's just a really nice drawing of eyes and the glasses. I think It's a pretty face and I would gladly exchange it for mine.

Haha, yeah, her mouth is a lil unusual for me too. I got inspired from several artists to try the "very low mouth" technique. Otherwise I would've put it in the right place. I dunno...If I move it up, it won't have the same effect anymore. Besides, she's supposed to be lovesick.

Her hair and clothes are a lil experimental too. At first I was gonna give her anime type hair, but eventually I tried to combine it with realistic hair. Finally, I used the opaque flatbrush tool (using Painter Classic) to "shade" in her shirt and her hair. Otherwise I drew it all with a 1.5-2 pixel wide pencil tool. Oh, not to forget, this is an 80% or so resizing of the original. I even tried to put in a background, but I erased it all.

Yeah, heheh, well Mansanas was one of my attempts to draw a fairly pretty girl, but not that pretty. This girl is just an average girl.

i love the low slung mouth. i think it really adds to the expression and character. the only thing that bothers me about this pic is the arms of the glasses. they look like they've been sat on.:p . it's another nice pic though. maybe try the glasses without any arms at all, just the rims. i've seen this done before and it looks nice.

:anger: YEAH! :D I finally drew a background (which is really rare for me). I also fixed up the frames for her glasses, and enhanced the shading in her hair. Do you think I should keep going, and just CG color the whole thing? Maybe I could get color suggestions for her hair, the background, her clothes, etc.
