Square Enix Saddest final fantasy scene?

OK here's a question.

Which scene in any of the FF games do you consider the saddest?

For me, it's in FF6, where Celes can't save Cid and she throws herself to the abyss. I cried in that one *sniff*

(btw is there ANY way to save him from dying?)

 

I'd say when Aeris died...That was quite emotional for me...

Man...why are Square so good at making you cry :sad:

Another scene was the ending of Final Fantasy VIII, but it wasn't as sad as Aeris's

It's the death of Aeris for me. Man I really liked her...umm...in a videogame sort...of...way... ^^;

Aeris death scene...I don't like her that much, but I almost cried when she died...

The saddest scene for me was definitely Aeris's death in FF VII.

Though no videogame to date has ever made me cry . . . (which is surprising to me!)

th-the one where Yuna's in the lake and Tidus is there and they kiss! that made me cry! *cries* i saw it today! WAHHHH!!!

also, in ff V111 ....oh god! i forgot! *cries again* whatever.

and in Home, when Tidus found out about Yuna dying and all.
dont get me wrong. i hate tidus. hes ugly and feminine. but still.

 

While the quite emotional scene with Tidus being all whiney about Yuna had a lot of potential, it didn't have as much of an impact on me as it could have. I guess it was something about the words not fitting with Tidus's mouth and the way the graphics and dialogue worked together . . .with the Aeons suddenly appearing that just didn't really make the scene . . . work for me. Oh well.

The lake scene was so awesome, though. I'm glad FF X lets me watch all of the FMVs in the end so I don't have to use up any more space on my card ^_^

Don't worry, annovachan, I'm NOT talking about the ending. I was referring to the same scene you were - the scene in the Al Bhed Home where Tidus is angry - as you said, "when Tidus found out about Yuna dying and all."

As with the Lulu/Wakka issue, it's not revealed in the American release of FF X, but I have read that in the FF X international version of the game there is an epilogue showing Lulu and Wakka together, and Lulu is pregnant with Wakka's child.

ha, when i saw the title i ough it meant the sadest, asin the other meaning, but now i come in and it says the other meaning of sad, well i think when aeries dies, i may be the captain of Battleship PK4, a great dragon fighter, but i think i saw a tear come own my face when she ...died...

 

probably in ff9 when those vivi things are all falling and vivi looks down at them and they are all dying and stuff. i dunno how to explain it, but if uve played it youll know what im talking about.

 

when Aries dies it can be sad but at the same time it can be funny

 

I think watching Avalanche die in FF7 and not being able to save them is pretty sad . I actually liked the game more when you were part of Avalanche , though the whole clones , Jenova ect was great too . Except the fact that you meet Yuffie .

i thought when aeris died was the saddest scene in ne game i have ever played, i did cry. i think the second saddest scene was at the end of ffx
