What's your opinion on the Sailormercury Special, Ami-chan no Hatsukoi? I think it was somewhat good, the story was original. The only thing it was missing was perhaps a bit more content.

I'm afraid not. It can't be considered a "movie" either, as it only lasts 16 minutes. It's a special episode, from Sailormoon SuperS.

It's readily accesible on the internet if you have a fast modem. I was rumging around maybe 2 years ago and found it. I'd give you the site address where I downloaded it but I don't know it :( sorry.

Anyway if you go to google and search for "sailor moon episodes download" you can probibly find it.

I found it entertaining but I'm more of a Jupiter fan.

    Ami-chan no Hatsukoi

"Ami-chan no Hatsukoi" or "Ami's First Love" is a SuperS Special. For those who have seen it, what was your opinion on it? Should it have been longer? Should there have been a better story?

And mostly... Is it fair Ami is the only one with her own special, especially considering..

She gets her own Transformation and Attack.. While the others don't.

I've only read the manga version. It was pretty cute, but it wasn't as great as people said it was. The new attack Mercury got was awesome, though.

I think it was a great extra on the film Sailor Moon Super S (Black Dream Hole). I think it should have been longer but the story was still really cool. Go Ami-chan!!!!!

I watched the "Ami-Chan no Hatsukoi Extras and Interviews" this morning. It was interesting, to say the least. To my surprise, Takeuchi Naoko wasn't part of the "Crew" who produced Ami-Chan no Hatsukoi.

    Crew Listing:
    Producer: Toshihiko Arisaka
    Director: Takuya Igarashi
    Animation Director: Miho Shimogasa
    Screenplay: Ryota Yamaguchi
    Art Director: Junichi Higashi
    Music Director: Yasuyuki Konno

I thought the interview was rather cute; the crew was so nervous! Especially Animation Director Miho Shimagasa, who barely even talked. Miho-san is an awesome artist. Since Ami-Chan no Hatsukoi is only a 15 minute special, she focused on every scene and every aspect of the Character Animation, which made it worthwhile, and made it "easier to remember all the details", as Yasuyuki-san stated.

The Crew Members who were doing most of the talking were Music Director Yasuyuki Konno and Director Takuya Igarashi. Takuya just got on my nerves though, I can't really explain why. Some of the crew are people who worked on the Sailormoon Series. More specificially: Toshihiko Arisaka (Sailormoon SuperS), Takuya Igarashi (Sailormoon (All Series)), Ryota Yamaguchi (Sailormoon Sailor Stars), Yasuyuki Konno (Sailormoon (All Series)).

Toshihiko Arisaka concluded the interview with a sentence I'm not about to forget: "I believe that Sailormoon will continue for many episodes to follow.. and without restricting it to Ami, we still have Makoto, Rei, Minako, and of course Usagi, so... If we could make episodes for each, maybe 15 or 30 minutes... we'd like to keep doing these kinds of projects, so thank you and please keep watching."

Ironically, Sailormoon came to an end 33 episodes later (Sailormoon Sailor Stars), and Ami-chan is still the only one with her "special episode". Makes one wonder what happened..
