Sailor moon is the one that started it all for me. If it wern't for me sitting and watching it every afternoon when I was seven, I wouldn't even know what anime or manga is today. To think!
Even though I like all kinds of other anime right now I still remember sailor moon and how much I was totally obsessed with it. What about you? Reminisce.

Ack, same deal for me. I saw my first full episode of anime, which happened to be Sailor Moon, wayyyyyyy back in the summer of 98 on Toonami when the host was Moltar from Space Ghost (yeah, I remember :p). I was watching Eek and the Terrible Thunder Lizards when a commercial for Robotech came on and was said to air a few hours later. I came back a few hours later and ended up watching the Sailor Moon episode in season one were that one boy who likes Ami ends up getting hunted by Zoisite because he has a crystal inside of him. So, if it wasn't for that, I wouldn't be here nor would I have given a damn about anything (besides fireworks) from Asia.

    ?????????

Same for me too. Except, I think I was it on wb on a week day morning. It was season one, with those wierd wrestlers in it, and one of them accidentaly got turned into a monster. I didn't watch very much of it becasue I had to got to school(think I was in third grade). But a day or two later it was on tv on the week ends. And I instantly loved it. So, yeah, if it wern't for sailor moon, I wouldn't get what the heck hell anime was. And now I'm JUST getting what the big deal about dubbing and subbing was(I just baught a supers dvd vii) But yeah. It's a good thing for it.

Waha, Canada got SM before America did. Americans were b****ing about it too. :p
SM got me started on anime, of course. I remember watching every single episode and being obsessed. I used to bring my luna plushie to school everyday. :p What a geek i was. :p
I can't even remember my first episode, it was such a long time ago.... but it's safe to say it was one of the very first epsiodes. *nods*

Actually I don't remember what episode I saw first... that'd be hard to try and remember. But I first layed eyes on SM in these stores and wondered what it was. Then then I watched it and LOVED IT! And since there wern't many SM products in the US back then... I made senshi out of my barbies and stuff like that. Sad... but true. And AHHHHH I HATE THE ENGLISH VERSION!!!

Yeah, Sailor Moon introduced me into the world of anime...well, actually a friend introduced me. She showed me that episode in the S season, where Usagi gets drunk...she showed me in english and then in Japanese...(it was the bilingual DVD) *sighs* that started me into my anime and manga obsession...
Wouldnt have done without it....(looks at stack of Sailor moon DVDs and manga, accompanied with many other anime and manga)
Even though i have found other anim and manga, i still have a soft spot for it ^_^

sailormoon was the first anime that got me acting on hunting the stuff down. i'd liked it since i was a kid, what with unico being shown on disney back in the day.(if any of you were born before 1982, you have a good chance at remembering it.)

i used to obsess over it too. still do in a way. when i buy a dvd of it, i'm still all giggly. and i will be when i buy the 2 box sets coming. nyar uncut, uncensored and subtitled...nyar.
