Anime saint seyia

do any of you know saint seiya ?
this is a pretty old anime (when, not so old as it's about my age ) where some "knights" fight for the good things.
i don't remember exactly what's the plot (in the first place, they have a tournament to win a gold armour, which is stolen... so the pegasus knight, the dragon, andromed and a few other go and fight to have it back).

Well i liked it when i was younger, i tried to watch it again and didn't really have fun seeing it again (french dubbing might be the reason, "oh, i'm going to punch you in the back so as your heart beats again", try to tell it, if you don't laugh, you're better than the dubber )
a friend of mine had a dvd and spoke of it with an irish girl, and it appears she never heard of it, and lots of others never did... did you ?

or are we, french fellows, lucky guys who have been brought up watchin' saint seyia, city hunter, dragon ball (z), cat's eyes, ranma 1/2, urusei yatsura and lots more ?

 

I dunno if this is to late but oh well. I watch the english dubbed version (I live in the USA all the anime I get are english dubbed) of Saint Seiya and I like it. All of my friends think it's bad but I just quit listening to them.
And the saints are Pegasus, Dragon, Andromada, Phoenix, and Cygnus (or swan, I've heard him caled both). That is unless you count the steel saints and all the other saints that some in later. Those 5 are just the main ones. These 5 were among the 10 bronze saints that were fighting in the Galactic War (a tornament set up by the Grand(it think that's right) foundation) and they were competing for the gold cloth of Sagitarious. Phoenex wasn't competeing in the begining he showed up later and stole the gold cloth and then they fought and then the cloth was stolen again this time by Sancuary (the birthplace of saints and the largest concentration of them). Then there was more fighting and that is around were I am in the anime so I can't tell you any more.

 

OH! OH! I saw all the episodes of that one. Saint Seya (AKA Knights of the Zodiac) is one of my favourite old schoolers! That just makes me want to use the Leo or Sagitarius armor, my two favourites!

I live in Mexico. I remember some years ago, when this series marked the beginning of the Anime Boom in Mexico.

The story was good (at least until past the first saga). After it, many new anime series came to TV. What I don't like is this blood themed violence (c'mon, after bleeding 10 liters of blood Seiya still gets up and fight?)... still, this is _THE_ series that started it all.

 

Saint Seiya, aka. Knights of the Old Zodiac. Classical anime, used to watch those when I was a little kid. They rocked, I think my sister is in it too, she has a minifigure of that green masked girl...what was her name again?

Green masked girl? You mean Shina (I don't know if that's how you spell it)?

 

Oh, this is good classic anime. I like it very much, in fact, now I'm watching the Hades OVAs but I'm stuck in the 13th episode. Leo and Virgo are my favourite armor.
