Recreation Sanford and Son

I've followed this show for a while now, and for Christmas, I got the entire second season on DVD, and it's great. Anyone else like the black answer to Archie Bunker?

 

Archie who? Yeah, I remember watching Esther and Fred and the rest of the gang getting rude and prude with each other. Sort of like a toned-down-for-television-blaxploitation-sitcom. I remember the episode where Lamont was rehearsing the murder part of a play with a white woman in the living room, and the old geezers (Bubba and Fred) were outside, peering in. And they both got heart-attacks cuz they thought it was real! Oh, and the episode where everyone was trying to get rid of a marijuana plant, that was pretty nuts too. (Grady walked in, everyone's whispering to him what's going on, and he yells out "MARIJUANA?!" at the top of his lungs!)

 

Haha, yeah. That Grady.
