Hi again! I just noticed... when I logged in and watched, there weren't any new threads. Just 7 threads listed. Isn't there a way that *by default* you see listed a minimum of 15, 20 perhaps 30 threads?

Otherwise, does any of you guys have an idea to give more life to this forum? Just because the series is over, does it mean that the threads have to die? :( Or is all said what was meant to be said?

*it's sad to be a fan of one series*

Or am I making such a fuzz over nothing? ^^"

I actually find it hard to believe that there is so little activity in this forum. I myself am a fan of the series, but I rarely post here because I haven't seen the whole thing and don't know a whole lot about it. There's this tendency of hard-core fans to drive away casual audiences like me. Anyway, I can't see this forum dying in the near future, but I'm no psychic.

Well I think that it's because there are so few fans of the series. Compared to others like Evangelion, Saber Marionette doesn't have as many fans.

    It's sad :(

But sure! Ask away, any ideas on the story, or questions... or who's your favorite marionette, etc etc...

    please ask!

BTW, do you like fanfictions (good ones, that is)? There's a lot of SMJ-related fics on the web.

Oh guess what. Last night I dreamed that my parents gave me a boxed set of the complete collection of... SMJ parodies??? (fanmade). The dream was weird, but the characters looked cute, specially Lime in her "chibi" appearance.

I don't think the forum will die out anytime soon. Mostly because it *is* a great series. But, in all essences, one it's one of Matt's favorite anime. And, y'know. ADMIN. ^_^

One of? It's my absolute favorite.

The day the SMJ forum closes is the day I pack my bags and leave M2A... :)

luvweaver, to your question about showing x topics, that's a user preference. Not about to go and try to force members to see more topics than they want.

Any individual can go to their options and adjust the Default Thread View.

    Yeah but..

I said it for example, so that newbies see that this forum HAS threads.

If for example, someone new enters this forum and just sees 7 threads with about 3 or 5 posts (because he doesn't know that most threads ARE over 60 days old), will it seem interesting for him? That's what I'm talking about... there are some old threads in this forum (and others) that are really marvelous, and someone new won't just see them because he thinks there are none.

    What do you think guys?

    Save the whales!!!

no really, cutting the joke, Saber Marrionette is the best anime show out, many people are getting to see SMJ for the first time in this days, viewing only 7 threads, including stickies, isn't very ATRACTIVE.
    casual user:
    hmm... Saber Marionette...
    let's click it and see...
    huh? 7 threads?
    must a hamtaro like toons

when you go to like, DBZ, there like 40 threads (most of them who is your fav. saiyin)
but you all get the idea.

    Okay, okay.

I set the default for the SMJ forum to display all posts. Now all those posts won't be lost on newcomers.

This series may have fewer fans than others, but at one point it was the most active series forum on the board.. I'm afraid I've drifted away from it for a while, as I haven't seen it in a while.

There is a reason for it though. As my favourite series, I have been in no hurry to see the rest of it, to have it done and over with. Therefore, I have deliberately put off seeing the last 15 episodes of J2X for almost 3 years. Well, and I was going to watch them with Lady Aoi, but she disappeared :(

Einstein said "I love to travel, but I hate to arrive." It is like that with anime for me. I lvoe to travel so much that I do so obsessively until I arrive, and am sad it is over (ie: watching the last 15 eps of Rah Xephon in one sitting. Now I'm done with Juuni Kokki too nooo). At least there is always a bit of SMJ(toX) left to go.

Some very creative thinking, there, Mamiya. In any case, I never think of things having a definite "end". You can consider so many alternate branches, what-ifs, and even plotholes to so much degree that it's really one's own decision when to dictate that there is an ending. This transfers best visually in the form of fanfiction, but it really encompasses so much more.

    Viva SMJ!

I'm very picky in my anime but Sabre Marionette series gets my total support. Besides with the voice casts like Megumi Hayashibara and Hikaru Midorikawa makes this series worth collecting. :D

I've actually noticed latley that all the individual forums are dying... only stuff like Art and RPGs and Misc are still really bustling with activity... even Annc is dead. I think it's just cuz so many people are occupied by school, maybe...
