Art Second CG

Right, well... im embaraced to put this up here cuz everyone seems to draw better than me :shy3:

but here goes, its my second pic on cg and about the fift drawing total. The original pic had the lower body but no hands or feet so i left it out because it looked too stupid, still gotta learn to draw them and practice on some clothing and folds

 

hey... i thinnk it's good ^^... i like it.. the way u colored it.. i couldn't have done it like that.. because i can't even CG (i'm total brat when it is to CG).. okay.. the sun and clouds are very pretty and the eyes are cool and interesting ^^ the body line shape for me it's very good ^^ good shading.. i could say everything is fine to me ^^

 

I agree, the chin is quite pointy. Also, it forced you to squeeze in a tiny mouth. The CG-ing in the hair caught my attention though; it's nice.

 

Thanks, and not at all will i be angry at u. Thats the main reasons i put it up cuz i like to get some pointers and such.

And yes, i know that the face looks like a rain drop upsidedown. Shold be fatter an so but i didn't have the patience to do it over again i drew a improved version of the face with a pen and got it looking quite normal.. Also i think that the nose looks like someone had hit her hard there it looks somehow stupid, i forgot to shade it i guess.

But... this was still my first experiment pic on photoshop, so im very much still on the learning side. Alltough u can never learn enough

Everybody has already mentioned the chin, so no point in beating a dead horse right? But otherwise I agree that its a very nicely colored pic. The hair and neck are done well I think! I don't know how familiar you are with your paint program, but it might be cool to use 2 layers (1 for background and 1 for the character) and then blur the background to make it look even more like its in the distance...just a thought. Oh!! five gold stars for drawing in a background too, I'm horrible at that myself! Good job!

 

Actually i had about 8 or more layers in that pic and yes i tried to make the backround look distant. Thats quite hard to acomplish, but i somehow got it looking like distant but it went bad when i changed the pic into a gif file ..less colours i think.

My opinion is that when drawing manga, the skill to do it naturally by hand counts the most. To do it with a computer doesn't quite show how good u really are coz u can always enhace the picture with drawing programs. Don't know if that makes sence but what i mean is that if someone is only capable of drawing a straight line by hand, one can make a realistic looking tree from it with a good graphic program. It feels like cheating or something

So, if it is really possible that i am better in CG than u right now, then in REAL drawing u still kick my *** to outer space

i think you need to work more on the basis instead of using the photoshop renditions.

 

Mm, well.. I'd like to point out that she has a uni-boob.. XD And I think she has satan eyebrows.. And in some.. odd way she reminds me of my friend Samantha. I'd critique it more, but just about everything I wanted to say has been stated already!

Satan eyebrows...whadda ya mean? gotta admit i didn't give e'm much effort though. And what is "uni-boob" ?

 

Uni-boob: Dessy's way of saying, she has no definition between her breasts, no cleavage if you will.

Satan Eyebrows: It's an old chinese thing. The men used to LOVE to brush the ends of their eyebrows up, it was to look intimidating. Hence the "satan eyebrows" comment.

and if you ever look at somebodies face.. you will notice that their nose doesn't start below their eyes.. =] just something to think about
